But even if he was the same as Genesis Patriarch you only saw that Patriarch achieve a god-like state of his own world, certainly not the 'multiversal' version we have seen here.

Granted I have not shown that much of what Prime Patriarch *can* do, but Genesis Patriarch for instance was never capable of creating the interdimensional portals that Prime Patriarch can.

 

Yeah, I have to agree. That combo was definitely next level.

Also, on Cocytus's ambitions, think more of Vader or Sidious aspiring to be Sauron than apathetic Cithulu. Not just the Dark Lord of the Sith, but The Dark Lord of, well, everything. @Shadowsun

I could also say Melkor/Morgoth, but that seems to be a better description for the First Darkness, who seems to just want to destroy everything rather than rule over everything as a God-King.

Literally working on it now.

Morgoth wanted to rule all things as he stood as the discord against Eru and his creation. He 100% wanted to subjugate all things just on a far more powerful scale and more destructive scale than Sauron.

I was using Cthulu as a way to measure power-scale not interested in its motives or aspirations as the First Darkness just utterly dwarfs basically all the characters in the game. Cthulu is unknowable, unkillable, unconquerable, and unassailable as opposed to basically every other villain ever that can be beaten somehow.

The point being though, Cocytus just cannot accept there being a power greater than his own except for his apprentice and heir in accordance to the Rule of Two.

Oh for sure that makes perfect sense.

The update took ages...when it really should not have... but it is up now. If anyone has questions or if something is confusing let me know.

And if you have concerns let me know that too.

I will say as a mild note a character telling you to do something is not a coded way of me the GM telling you what to do if that makes sense, you are free to question, prod, argue whatever you like. I just say that as I know some peeps quite understandably feel that an NPC saying 'you have to do this' means the GM is telling you that. That's not what is happening.

EDIT: Oh and if you're wondering. Yes, I did discuss the memory suction that Patriarch did with Sinre. I didn't just do it. So the details of that have already been communicated. I should have made a note of that in the update.

Well... depends on what you mean by 'Canon'.

Canon to Sinre's interconnected web of games on the boards that form what the Patriarch would call the 'M-Cluster'? Unless @Sinrebirth is about to pull something out of nowhere then I would guess no it isn't canon to that.

Is it 'canon' to the greater Omniverse that exists beyond the M-Cluster? Yes, I would say so as in my mind every piece of fiction ever to exist exists somewhere in the Omniverse. 'Everything' includes the silly that's just how it goes.

I may switch to a format of what I refer to as 'non-update' updates where I post IC like a player would as opposed to a GM if that makes sense, it gives large conversations a better flow than a long text change of Patriarch and Nyx responding to everyone. (Although that does work sometimes)
