In the absence of any FanForcer from Estonia, Denmark or Greece posting on this board, I want to officially claim : Canada rules !!!
what ? you didn't really belive the French singer was a French from France, did you ? :D

More seriously, what did you think ? did you like the songs ? is there one you wish had won ?

I think Denmark should have won this year too ; or maybe the Netherlands or Norway (I didn't see the guys singing but the extracts at the end sounded good). Those songs were the less bad IMHO :D (pop music sucks !)

I really liked Slovenia and Croatia, but the song that I'm singing on today is Denmark.

I liked the Estonian, because it made me happy when I listened to it. And hey, the one's from Greece where actually Swedes.

This is a little late, but DUDE! The German was BAD!!!! I mean a couple years ago Guildo Horn (I like that last name!) and Stefan Raab were at least FUNNY!

I don't remember the German... what was it ?

OMG, I've learnt on friday that Patrick Fiori, a guy who sang in Notre Dame de Paris and whom I positively hate, was number 4 at the Eurovison a couple of years ago... I'm gonna be sick *is sick*

I actually thought all the songs were quite horrible...worse than they used too...*sigh* Well, Denmark wasn't that bad, neither were French or Greece...and as Obi-Anne remarked, the latter were Swedes!

No one wants to admit they're watching it, but everyone does...at least in Sweden. *grin* I watched it with some friends, but we didn't see the end since we started a war with pillows when we argued about which was the best song...*wistful smile*

ABBA rules! Yeah, I'll sign that! *grin*

I missed the beginning too, was too busy watching Charmed with my mom (another thing everybody watches in secret :p ) ; and we also missed most of the songs too, cuz we (still my mom and I) were too busy criticizing the singers, their songs, their voices, their clothes, etc etc. And they were really providing us many food for criticizing :D We really had much fun, that night :D

Dedicated to every ABBA fan :

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
    Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Yeah, like that one too...ABBA makes me proud to be a Swede...*grin*

But honestly, wan't the Eurovision much funnier last year. I freaked out on the Latvian singer, he looked so totally happy when he sang...and I liked the song too. *grin*

Maybe I'm a bit young to say that, but Abba reminds me good things...

see, I'm only 19, and I've danced on that, a prrof they're good :p not as good as Claude François of course, but, hey !

didn't watch the Eurovision last year ; must have had more interesting things to do :p
but... Kee ? 'Latvian' means from where ?

From Latvia....I think that's the English name, but I might just as well be wrong. Lettland in Swedish...And I think they were from Latvia or whatever it's called. Now I'm unsure...Damn you, Twinnie!

It is Lettland in German, too. (eastern Europe-Baltic Sea)

    ABBA Rulz!
My I-hope-he-is-gonna-be-my-boyfriend played some ABBA songs with the school band. Went to the concert 2 weeks ago. I was so cool! My favorite songs are Voulez-Vous (I love the saxophones) and Angeleyes.

I've checked in the dictionary, it is indeed Latvian (sorry :D ) ; it was easier for me to understand Lettland though in French, the country's name is Lettonie)

your 'you-hope-he-is-gonna-be-your-boyfriend' ? intersting Jaina. Most interesting. :p good luck :D

My fave Abba song is Dancing Queen. It was played during the party there was my last day in a Canadian summer school [face_daydreaming] the only negative point is that now, everytime I hear it, I feel like crying :*(

    My two fav´s:

    Voulez-vous

    People everywhere
A sense of expectation hangin' in the air
    Givin' out a spark
Across the room your eyes are glowin' in the dark
And here we go again, we know the start, we know the end
    Masters of the scene
We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more
    You know what I mean

    Voulez-vous
Take it now or leave it
    Now is all we get
    Nothing promised, no regrets
    Voulez-vous
    Ain't no big decision
    You know what to do
    La question c'est voulez-vous
    Voulez-vous

    I know what you think
The girl means business so I'll offer her a drink
    Lookin' mighty proud
I see you leave your table, pushin' through the crowd
I'm really glad you came, you know the rules, you know the game
    Master of the scene
We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more
    You know what I mean

    Voulez-vous
Take it now or leave it
    Now is all we get
    Nothing promised, no regrets
    Voulez-vous
    Ain't no big decision
    You know what to do
    La question c'est voulez-vous

And here we go again, we know the start, we know the end
    Masters of the scene
We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more
    You know what I mean

    Voulez-vous
Take it now or leave it
    Now is all we get

    Voulez-vous

    Angeleyes

    Keep thinking 'bout his angeleyes
    I keep thinking

Last night I was taking a walk along the river
And I saw him together with a young girl
And the look that he gave her made me shiver
'Cause he always used to look at me that way
And I thought maybe I should walk right up to her and say
It's a game he likes to play

    Look into his angeleyes
    One look and you're hypnotized
He'll take your heart and you must pay the price
    Look into his angeleyes
    You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into those angeleyes
    Oh no no no no

    Keep thinking 'bout his angeleyes
    I keep thinking

Sometimes when I'm lonely I sit and think about him
And it hurts to remember all the good times
When I thought I could never live without him
And I wonder does it have to be the same
Every time when I see him, will it bring back all the pain
How can I forget that name

    Look into his angeleyes
    One look and you're hypnotized
He'll take your heart and you must pay the price
    Look into his angeleyes
    You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into his angeleyes
    Crazy 'bout his angeleyes
    Angeleyes
Once he took my heart and now I pay the price
    Look into his angeleyes
    You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into those angeleyes
    Oh no no no no

    Keep thinking
    Keep thinking 'bout his angeleyes
    Keep thinking
Keep thinking, I had to pay the price

Well, I dunno how you write it. In Germany it is written Mallorca.
Yes, the Spanish island, which is Germany´s 17th state LOL Just kiding. Well, I guess you hear more German than Spanish over there, because it is "the German´s favorite island". It is very ambarrassing how those tourist act!

My mom used to go there when she was younger and unmarried (why do I always feel guilty when she talks about the old days without husband and kids ? ;-) ; but she never said anything about German tourists.

On another hand, I went in holidays in Spain a couple of years ago, and there were mostly German ppl there ; you have a good taste, guys :p

German tourists are *everywhere* :p ; and, sorry to notice, but they're not the ones who behave the best way... don't worry, the same remark applies to French tourists and, well, to every tourist. People simply can't behave when they're not in their country anymore...
