The hex/spell aspect seems in line with something Snoke would do, but I'm thinking it would then be "bio-hexcrypt".
Having the 'a' in the word makes it 'hexa', such as in the word hexagon.... a polygon with six sides. I had earlier mentioned it might be a six-sided pyramid. Maybe it's not necessarily six-sided, but a "life crypt for six individuals". Over in the Finn thread, DjangoKet and I were on the same wavelength about the number six. There are six Knights of Ren if you don't count Kylo, although, perhaps he's not a Knight, but he is their master. If this crypt has this name, does this mean there's a rule of six? Always six Knights there are, no more, no less.
Most of the definitions for "crypt" describe them as being beneath a church. Perhaps they are beneath some sort of temple. It may be a coincidence, but the Imperial crests from different eras have six spokes.
As for the triangle behind Finn, maybe it symbolizes the giant wedge ship. Or, it's just a nice poster design.

I like how your fascination with and deification of the misunderstood exclamation point have pretty much stripped it of all purpose and utility

    Bio Hexa Crypt = Bio(logical) Hexa(gonal) Chamber/Vault = Bacta Suit

    Instead of a Tank:

Think if the suit/crypt was made of bacta matter, doesn't need glass to contain it.

But in sci fi movies the word "crypt" is strongly associated with vampires, ghouls etc it has a horror movie vibe that id find out of place with the Resistance and more fitting to Snoke. Could it be something that maintains him alive?

Yeah, it's feels like somewhere Snoke has to stay to remain alive to me.

Yep crypt doesn't seem like a word that would be used for the good guys. Sometimes it can be that simple.

playing devil's advocate here: but would have Boyega reveal such a detail if it wasnt a throwaway line/concept? Bacta suit seems trivial enough to be something that doesnt disclose anything..whereas Snoke's crypt..

and some people think it's crypt as in cryptology...and that it refers to hacking computers or stuff like that. not sure at all about this..??

They might have heard rumours about where Snoke resides. Or it's later in the film when whey have discovered intel. Or it's just a throwaway line about something else!

Crypt means chamber, vault and isn't only associated with graves and that sort of thing. Hexa means 6 and hexagon means 6 corners or something. It isn't the word Hex.

I don't see why John would reveal something about Snoke instead of something about Finn. But I can see where the idea comes from and it isn't invalid. He does infiltrate a star destroyer and if the start destroyer is The Eclipse, there's a chance that Snoke is there. In the biohexacrypt. And we fans want the word to be associated with something interesting (Snoke in a life-support vault) than something dull (Finn in the bacta suit). Hence preference for Snoke version.

It might not be Snoke in particular, but a general stirring of the Dark Side. Just my take.

well i dont really know about the connotation in english, but in french when you talk about a crypt in a fantasy movie you can be sure that you're going to see evil entities lurking there :) Dont know if it's the same in other languages. And i agree, we want it to be about Snoke coz it's more exciting than a simple bacta suit. maybe it's jist wishfil thinking. But it would be cool indeed if Finn's mission was to find Snoke's crypt and blow it!!!

Strongbow In either case, the key word is "troubled". It doesn't come natural to him, but it troubles him.

The PiedPiper of Alderaan Then we know that the mission failed cause you bet Snoke will be a big player in IX. he would be a total weak sauce if he was blown up by the mere Resistance while he was sleeping. Lame.

Hmmm, what if the baby stormtroopers (are they babies when they're taken?) are kept and programmed in Bio-hexacrypts?

But this was in the novelization:

From the sound of it... she did not know exactly what was going on at first. But she sensed his evil and felt him as a dark presence, and only later identified him as Snoke.

That would be one hell of a big spoiler to drop to be fair, especially, considering how tight security has been.

Satipo Very good thinking. Like The Matrix pods.

While Aftermath didn't hint at how conditioning/programming was done, they may keep "biohexacrypt" a secret for movie to reveal. We didn't see how Brendol Hux conditioned the feral kids. We only saw the result. So anything is possible.

Dark Horse Not really because it's just a word w/o context. therefore, not a spoiler. We can uncover the spoiler by throwing in several theories, one of which could work (Zeroh/Mayimbeh style), but the word doesn't spoil anything except that there's a biological hexagonal crypt.

Yeah, maybe? It could tie back in to Finn's backstory - and give a feel of what some felt was missing in TFA.

We get all sorts of technobabble in Star Wars too. Some of it makes sense, some of it doesn't. :)
