    There aren't as many variations between the first season and Leviathan Wakes as there are for later books, but starting from the beginning is definitely the way to go.

    One of my favorite shows. Hopefully more folks start to watch this. Season 3 was phenomenal in my opinion.

    Anyone finish Tiamat's Wrath? I finished it this morning - it's quite a ride.

    I'm just shy of halfway through. I'll throw this question in spoiler even though it's not something major.

    There is this hug it out scene with Bobbie and Naomi. It states they are the same height. Now I know somewhere I read Bobbie Draper was something like six and a half feet tall but I do not recall Naomi ever being described as that tall. The author makes it a point to describe Bobbie as much larger than everyone else. Or did I miss Naomi's height somewhere? Because if I did not miss it then it means the author is catering to the show which uses an average height Bobbie.

    Naomi is a belter so has the whole extended musculature thing (IIRC) so being of similar height to Bobbie isn't too much of a surprise to me

    @tom

    Start from the beginning, as always the books are far superior to the TV adaptation (although to be fair the TV show is pretty decent) but there is so much more world building in the books that's critical to the overall narrative.

    It's not WoT world building that just goes on and on and on

    and on

    and on

    and on

    it actually has purpose and in all honesty, the switch put in place for Persepolis Rising was a nice surprise and the direction in took at the end is interesting (not yet read Tiamat's wrath as I forgot it had been released and I've only just bought it.)

    Damn.

    Bobbie and Amos. :_| Hell of an end for Bobbie though.

    Bobbie stopped me cold. Hope the show goes on long enough to see it.

    I didn't know what to feel for Amos - I had read Strange Dogs so I figured something was coming after his death, but it's still unnerving.

    Rough one for the Roci crew. And Medina Station.

    It was quite a good read. Not sure what they'll do with the Roci as it is, as they said, 50 years behind the times. Maybe upgrade it with protomolecule tech?

    Didn't see the Amos return as I never had that big a concern over his character. I have to say I love the Teresa sass. The next book is the last, so I wonder if the lead characters will get the protomolecule immortality or not.

    Finally got Tiamat's Wrath today. Read the first sentence and nearly threw the book across the room.

    I haven't gotten the books as of yet, but I have heard nothing but great things about them, so they are high on my list of books to get.

    I've been watching the show, and I must say, it is really underrated. For me it is probably the best Science Fiction based show in the game. Shame it isn't getting more notice. I can't wait for season 4.

    Not yet. Rumor is that it will air later in 2019. But nothing concrete.

    Finished it last night. Probably second to only Nemesis Games in my favorite books. What an insane book!

    It is top tier for me, too.

    Bobbie's death got me big time, but it was 100% on point.

    My step dad just graciously gave me all of his Expanse Books he had. And I ordered Tiamath's Wrath. So far I'm almost done with Cibola Burn. And I really don't mind it. It isn't my favorite book, but I sure have read far worse in my day. I'll be very intrigued to see how they translate this on T.V? The book is pretty slow, but the end portion has really ramped it up.

    Sorry, probably should have had a more explicit spoiler warning. I had figured most people had read it by now.

    The scene is really strong, if it makes it better.

    Cibola Burn is probably my third favorite of the series. As soon as I saw that it was dedicated to Elmore Leonard, I was 100% in. Things could have been handled better with Elvi, but the story line was right up my alley.

    @Darth McClain

    At least Elvi was a lot more tolerable in Tiamat's Wrath. Heck I even grew to like her, never thought that after Cibola Burn

    Oh, definitely. There was a lot more to her character than making puppy eyes at Holden, which was a good change. /SPOILER]
