Anakin and Padmé. They're the most interesting couple/ romance in the saga, IMO, and the most relevant to the characters and story.

I'm not big on shipping and the shipping side of fandoms, so I'm not sure. Though Bulma and Vegeta from Dragonball Z/ Super is a weirdly endearing dynamic.

Does it count as "crack pairing" if it actually happened? If so, as much as I'd like to make a Reylo joke here, I gotta give it to Ziro the Hutt x Sy Snootles... (Zootles?...)

Well, I didn't like the idea of Zuko x Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Glad the writers didn't go with it.

For SW, I don't get the Finn/ Poe thing. I also don't like most canon/ popular pairings either. Rey/Kylo, Han/Leia, Luke/Mara. I don't really like any of them.

(And then Starith made a thousand enemies in the Fanfic Forum that day...)

Cats in SW: I dunno. I'm not super knowledgeable about SW species, but aside from the Cathar I can't think of many cat-things in SW.

So many to choose from, but probably Secret of NIMH.

We know that many of SW's non-humans can be described as a humanised version of an Earth animal (cats are really overrepresented) and I was wondering what Earth animal/s would you like to see being turned into SW's non-humans? And why?

To be honest, I think I'd rather see designs for SW species that are more creative and original than "humanized animals".

I don't know about putting other species into SW; I don't really want any crossovers. Maybe as background characters or Easter eggs, like with the E.T.'s in the Senate. In that case, it could be cool to see the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal.

If you're talking species like elves and vampires and such... eh, I think SW can do without. Taking inspiration from those things sure, but again, I'd rather see more original ideas.

 

Can you give us some examples?

I was acctually more thinking of the mi-go, green barsoomians, yaddithian, the lunar bat-people, the plant men of Valley Dor, aihais, selenites, and such.

I do wonder why most people seems to go for elves as the go-to-species for public domain species?

 

Wookiees, Hutts, Dugs, Twi'leks, Givins, Cereans... I think it applies to a lot of SW species.

Not familiar with any of those... also, are you sure you didn't make them up?

As for 'why elves', well, LotR is a thing. Though I'm not a big fan of Tolkien's "superior, angelic race" take on elves myself.

Not one.

 

Just species with more uniqueness to their design I guess, more distinct features and shapes, not just an animal with humanlike anatomy.
