So we come to the end of the season and five more game weeks to go. After a resurgence in form Loon FC went top again but this form has come at a heavy price...a severely weakened team. With just nine points behind Loon FC Welshguy Rovers is starting to score heavily again but will Loon FC's decision to take out Lampard come back to haunt him despite the original success of the transfer? Will the fact that Welshguy has two of the Premierships in form strikers prove to be the killer punch? Will Jango Fettstar's consistent high scoring drag his team back to the top?

Damn me not making Lampard captain

I made Pedersen my captain cos lampard had been off form, then he got 11 flippin points

Edit: You seem to be putting a lot of stoke in your Bolton players, since you now have 3 in your first team. Just a shame that they have lost thier last 5 league games.

Don't know where i'm going to finish as of yet but Vanbo not playing (captain ) and Alonso going off but it could well be third.

A killer penultimate game from Welshguy Rovers has overturned a 13 point deficit into a 42 point lead.

Loon FC has taken a big risk making Van Nistleroy his captain. A big risk that doesn't seem to have paid off. You can tell it hasn't paid off becasue he's currently driving down the M5 while Man Utd are playing Charlton!!

Baring a miracle, surely this has to be Welshguy Rovers first chapionship win?

 

Here's hoping I can pull out some stops and get a few more places.

 

Considering I've touched my team about two times I think finishing in or around 8th will be a good move for me.

You can never win with striker selection

 

Well my thinking is that you can't trust Fergie as far as you can throw him. He has made some bloody stupid decissions down the years. He's got rid of Beckham and now Van Nistleroy. All because of his ego.

Whereas with Wenger, he seems to actually like his players and gives them the support and encouragment they need, instead of fighting them every step of the way like Fergie.

Still, having said that, i've put another 30 points on Loon FC!!

Its not Fergie's ego that was the problem, it was Van Nistlerooy's

Leaving just cos he was on the bench
United are not a one-man squad
If he'd waited until they brought him on and had scored a couple then he would've showed Fergie why why he should be the first-choice striker

And in regards to Beckham, I think him leaving was the right thing, he was becoming a brat
And Keane going was inevitable, you don't argue with the boss, he makes the rules

 

I suppose you have a point, but Fergie does seem to create more problems than he needs.

I think you may be on to something there.

Though I think it best not to look too closely at Big J's team. They seemed to pick up a lot more points in the second half of the season. Almost as if someone had taken over control of his team woth the proper authorisation of the FFUKFA...

Aye but had it not been at the end, Henry would have been my captain as well but there was that slim hope that I might catch you up (never going to happen) so I had to have a different team and the risk had to be taken... Vanbo! But Henry stole his three goals
