Yeah. That's what I really like about the UK that's missing from Australia. In the UK they have labels that say "vegetarian" and you can find vegetarian substitutes very easily at Marks and Spencers or Tescos etc. Here it is next to impossible to find vegetarian substitutes and I have to go through each ingredients listings to find out what is edible and what isn't.

Tofu is tasty. I happen to like health food. Especially spelt bread. Yum. And the soy milk. But I've got an autoimmune disease that supposedly it's not good for and can make it worse :(

Tofu only works for me in Japanese Udon Noodle soup. It turns into a creamy thing in your soup that has no taste. Its a healthy filler.

Tofu works best when you can't taste it, in my estimation.

The other stuff in the Udon make up for the fact that the tofu has less flavor than water.

Chinese stir-fried tofu tastes just like the oil it was cooked in. Might as well just take a bottle of peanut oil and drink it. Blagh!

Chili Colorado isn't necessarily from Colorado, it means Red Chili in Spanish. Its the color of the stew it makes. Wonderful tasting, especially on a cold day, but its only for us carnivores as its main ingredient is beef, beef, beef!

I'm from the Southwestern part of the U.S. so its fairly common here. Texas chili comes in a close second to Chili Colorado and is sometimes just as good if its done with fresh chilies.

The weirdest thing I've ever eaten is probably Japanese fish balls. They are white and pink and when you cut them they make a kind of a spiral design. They look like peppermint candy or cake when you cut them, but they taste fishy. Real strange, but not bad tasting. I imagine their flavor is akin to what you British folks call Fish Paste.

The thing I can't understand, Boogie Man, is Vegimite. How can anyone eat that stuff???

So Chili-Mac is the Army's version of the obiquitous SoS in the Marines. That's hamburger in a cream gravy on toast. I won't try to translate SoS because it'll get me banned. :p

I, for one, am NOT a vegetarian.

I am an uncompromising meatasaurus. I must consume the flesh of once living things in order to be alive and relatively happy.

I admit that my vegetable knawing has been somewhat lackluster recently. Incidental consumption would be the most accurate way of saying it. For instance I had garlic and tomatoes with my meatballs last night. Incidental vegetables to add some extra flavor to my meat and carbohydrates.

Ahhh . . . I can hear my arteries hardening even now.

    *rises hand* I'm another non-vegetarian person. :)
I really love to eat meat. There was a time when I ate almost no meat, but that changed some time ago. ;) :D

    Thank god!
I thought I was gonna end up in a Tofu cake.
Of course they wouldn't eat me then cos I would be in there.

Now pass me a cow and a lighter, I like my meat rare!

Oh I'll take my steak BLOODY AS HELL! THe meanest steak you got and I mean rare.

Though I do eat vegetables and not steak everynight, I'm one of those guys whose got a fast metabolism that everyone hates, so I can get away with that. I do like some health food, Soba noodles, sooooo good.
