Star Wars OPEN The Final Stand Chapter 1 — Accepting New Players —

IC: Gerald Starwalker.

Gerald had helped the two jedi master's as they fought. Why?. The nutolan even revealed who the extra helpers were. Clones?. Gerald thought they had been diposed of after the clone wars. Apparntley not. Gerald and the two masters fought until a sith appertince revealed herslef. She came at the trio with a red balde beside her. It wasa clear by her gaze that could only just be seen from beneath her carcaol black hood that she was not heading for him, or the nutolan but rather the Neir. The two broke themslef's off from the attack and enaged eachother. Just a few moments later the nutolan jedi joined them after Gerald had felt a dip in the force. That's when another being made her presence known in the force. She rushed over to the two masters and the sith, and that's when she was stopped by a band of inquistors. Gerald also broke off his defense and rushed to assit the young being. When he arrived he landed infront of the being who seemed to have a lightsaber clipped to her miniskirt. A jedi. That's when Gerald figured she must be the padawan of one the master's that had disappered onto the landing pad. Gerald ignited both of his own green bladed lightsabers and stood between the young mirilan jedi and the inquisitors. This was a familar situition he had been in many times before.

"You want the padawan, you'll have to take me on first." Gerald Exclaimed in a voice that commanded respect and did just that from his clones during the old war as he now called it. The padawan wouldn't be taken in on his account.

IC: Farnun Venat
The grasping hand of Darkness

Darth Vader himself was presiding the Battle of Utapau. He had gestured, stirring the currents of hate, anger and suffering upon the battlefield, and thus, the darkside responded in kind.

An entire squadron of TIE fighters assaulted the Scarlet Vessel, pouring their angry green lances on the ship. Inside the rebel ship, Farnun did all he could to try and lead them away from the location where the Jedi did battle, away from Safina. Instruments were sparking and red lining as they began to malfunction, smoke obscured his vision, error messages increased in his H.U.D. The scoundrel was putting up a truly valiant effort, but despite his 'luck' and skill, the odds were increasingly stacked against him this time. An alarm began to sound somewhere as an explosion in the rear indicated that the ships motivators had blown out! The engines sputtered, once, twice, three times, before Farnun cursed liberally as he felt the Scarlet Vessel going down. All he could do now was place himself in crash position before the inevitable impact against the rising ground.

Aboard the ISD Armageddon

Moff Hellyon watched in satisfaction as the Scarlet Vessel was brought down by his squadron of Elite Tie Pilots. The Tracking Fob's signal was the strongest it had ever been, indicating that his quarry was aboard- and quite likely the pilot of the ship. A small smile crossed his lips as he hand came up to his beard.

"I have you now..." He whispered smugly, his eyes taking in the impact as the ship performed an emergency crash landing and skidded on the Utapan surface. His troopers would be upon the vessel in short order - and then- finally, the wily scoundrel would be brought to justice.

Today, Lord Vader would wipe out the last of the jedi and he would be one step closer to enact his revenge.

Indeed. It was a good day for the Empire.

IC: Tanal Jahid

Tanal looked up to see the scarlet vessel coming to the ground. The falcon Squadron's ship had been badly damaged, he swung Avinn over his shoulder and ignited his yellow bladed lightsaber, he then started to make his way towards the downed vessel. Once he arrived the damage was worse than he thought, there were not enough meachinas in the galaxy to fix the scarlet vessel now. Smoke billowed upwards from the site of the crash. There would be a platoon of stromtroopers here any moment. It was a race against time for Tanal. He layed Avinn down just outside the ship he then crawled through a hole in the ship's hull to enter the Scarlet vessel. Tanal began to make his way to the cockpit of the vessel. As Farnun had been piloting the ship that's where he would surely be. As he passed Avinn's quarters something caught his eye. Tanal took a few steps back and used the force to grab the glistening object. A jedi holocron landed in the Nutolan's outstretched hand. He would have to find out the contents of the holocron at a later time as he could hear the roof of the ship creaking, never a good sign not on a downed vessel. He continued to the cockpit and found that the door was jammed from the inside.

"Farnun?" cried Tanal

"Farnun, can you hear me, it's Tanal Jahid, if you can hear me, please respond" Said the Nutolan jedi. Tanal then noticed a shiny substance on the floor of the Vessel. Tanal reached down. OIL.

"Farnun, listen to me, there is Oil out here, if we don't move soon we are gonna blow up along with what's left of this vessel" Tanal cried to the young scoundrel on the other side.

IC: Farnun Venat
Against all odds!

He heard his name, being called. It was muffled, but someone was calling out to him. Farnun stirred as his eyelids fluttered open. He coughed several times, not even realizing he had passed out. A sudden jolt of pain lanced through his side, his hand moving tentatively to touch the tender area. Was a rib broken? He hesitated to explore the possibility.

The cockpit of the Scarlet Vessel was a right mess, with instruments still sparking and smoking.

*Cough, Cough* “Master Jahid?” Farnun called back shakily.

The scoundrel attempted to open the cockpit door, but nothing happened. It appeared stuck. A feeling of alarm began to grow inside his gut. He’d been shot down and the Empire would soon turn to either confirm the kill, or worse. Moreover, the message Master Jihad sent earlier now played in his mind. Master Avinn was not only wounded, but was dying - the Scarlet Vessel wasn’t going anywhere. He could not rescue anyone.

A surge of panic suddenly rose in his mind.

'What about Safina!?'

A deep frown came to the scoundrel's face as he gritted his teeth. 'If anything happened to her....' he brooded, shaking his head.

‘Find a way to make it right’ Farnun chided himself mentally. They had all come too far and fought too hard. He certainly would not give up without a fight. Maybe the Utapans had a ship they could borrow?

In that moment, another object jabbed at his other side from within his long coat, and so he pulled it out. His eyes widened as he’d almost forgotten about it.

“Master Jahid. I have one of the Inquisitor weapons. Should I use that to cut open the lock?” He shouted through the jammed door.

Farnun regarded the metallic cylinder with its two half rings. He had to admit, it was certainly a distinctive, yet curious looking weapon.

But, pray tell, what did it portend?

IC: Tanal Jahid

Tanal heard the response from the young scoundrel.

"Farnun, thank the force your alive, Use the weapon the best you can, and keep a hold of it for me, I'll need it as soon as we get out of here." the jedi master replied to Farnun. Tanal then started to hear the shouts of stormtroopers and he felt the apprentice.

"Farnun, once you can meet me outside." and with that Tanal raced outside. As he ran through the crashed ship he scrapped his leg on a bit of red hot metal. He managed to ignore the pain and he reached the sunlight. The sith apprentice stood with a crimson blade at her side. Tanal ignited Avinn's own yellow bladed lightsaber. That's when Avinn awoke.

"Tanal?" said Avinn.

"Yes, Avinn" replied Tanal to the jedi master.

"May the force be with you" He exclaimed and with that he was unconscious again.

Tanal then held the saber close at his side.

IC: Safina
Battle of Utapau



Safina skidded to a halt, her heart pounding in her chest. Gripp and Onyxia she had given the slip before, but getting through them to her masters was another matter. Gripp gestured and grinned nastily, clasping and unclasping his huge hands to crack the knuckles. Safina could almost feel those mighty paws around her waist again, crushing the life from her.

And there was Tremayne, with his phalanx of droids. It seemed hopeless, until someone else appeared. Safina's heart lifted, he was a Jedi - the one with two green lightsabers that she had seen from afar!

Safina thought she recognised him; Gerald Starwalker. A brave general from the Clone Wars, who had led an entire company of clone troopers. He had once taught a class on lightsaber combat against battle droids when she was just a youngling. She did not expect him to remember her now.

But the odds were very much evened. Safina ignited her own lightsaber and the sapphire blade extended with a snap-hiss. She stepped beside the Jedi Knight.

Grand Inquisitor Tremayne might have spat in anger, chuckled with disdain, or yelled with fear, if he had normal emotions. Instead, his red artificial eye surveyed the newcomer. Tremayne turned to Gripp and Onyxia. "Deal with this distraction. I will take the girl."

The two Jedi and the three Inquisitors faced each other for a long moment. A wind swept across the rocky plateau, drifting strands of smoke ghosted by. The crashes and booms of the surrounding battle seemed to fade.

Then the black armoured acolytes of the Dark Side moved. Gripp and Onyxia stalked right, flanking to the side where Starwalker stood. Tremayne marched left, to the other flank. They were splitting their attack to separate the two Jedi.

Safina turned to track her approaching enemy. Now she was back-to-back with Starwalker. The inquisitors attacked simultaneously.

For Safina, this meant a squadron of hovering viper droids diving towards her, electro-shock probes at the end of multiple robotic arms raised to sting like scorpion tails.

She cartwheeled forwards, giving herself space from Starwalker - who would have his own problems by now. The droids came after her, swarming to try and surround her. The Padawan leapt high, using her Force levitation to boost and control her ascent.

Her rise defied gravity and spoiled the tracking mechanisms of the nearest vipers. She managed to cut two limbs clean from their mechanical owners. The droids recalibrated, swarming toward her again.

Safina let go the Force, and now dropped like a bird with folded wings, landing catlike into a crouch. Buzzing probes swept just over her head. She rose, span and parried another attack. A droid came behind her. Safina twirled with a leg outstretched and kicked it away.

All the while, Tremayne watched impassively from nearby. He was concentrating hard, using the Force to exert his technomancy and control the automatons as if they were parts of his own body. The girl was fast and slippery, but he slowly, inexorably, tightened the cordon and the droids gradually reduced the gaps for escape.

Eventually, and inevitably, one of the multiple attacks breached Safina's desperate defence, and an electroshock probe rammed into her back. Safina cried out and fell to her knees. The droids swarmed closer.

Tremayne allowed himself just a hint of a smile.

IC: Farnun Venat
By the Empire, corralled

Farnun worked as fast as he could, using the strange weapon as one would a welding torch or a cutter, in order to create an exit for himself. He bit down on his lower lip, fighting off feelings of anxiety and mounting panic. He could taste the danger they were all in, himself included. The ship would explode with him still, in it if he did not time things right.

Moreover, he could also feel it more sharply than before…she was in danger.

Safina!

Still, he could don’t allow that knowledge, or his feelings, to cause him to blunder- that would only make things worse. By now, He could even smell the oil the Master had spoken of- and that gave him a wild and reckless idea, but not one he could enact in that very moment.

The scoundrel coughed aloud as the air inside the cockpit became unbreathable, sweat dripped down his face as he gritted his teeth, when finally, a sizable exit was made. Farnun pushed through, crying out as he felt something cut and burn him all at once. It didn’t matter. He was through.

“M- Master Jahid!” He called out as he stumbled forth, even as he gasped and breathed in a lung full of air!. The inquisitor Lightsaber was extinguished in the process. There was madness all around, it was like Onderon all over again.

Farnun used the pain he felt to spur himself on, turned anxiety and anger into focus, brought his Will to Survive to the fore.

He immediately saw that the Jedi Master had engaged a new enemy. Farnun reacted instinctually, as if guided.

Without as much as a forethought, the scoundrel remained crouched as he moved to flank the Jedi’s enemy, moving to their blindspot. He immediately drew his weapon and shot a continual barrage of blaster bolts - to force this enemy to face him- thereby buying Master Jahid a chance to act.

“Over here!!” the scoundrel yelled in anger, as he continued to move and shoot.

Master Avinn lay dying on the surface of a dirt planet. This was unacceptable! Farnun would make sure he did not go alone.

Aboard the ISD Armageddon

Moff Hellyon continued to watch the battle on the surface of the planet below, his holo-display moving in and out of the action. By now, he had all the confirmation he needed. This was his target. As it stood, his forces were divided between those assisting Lord Vader and the decimation of the local Utapan guerrillas, and his assigned strike team.

“Move in.” He said, giving the order for the troopers to begin.

“I want him alive. Dispose of the others.” He commanded.

IC: Tanal Jahid

Tanal turned to regard the younjg scoundrel.

"It's good to see you alive my freind." Tanal replied. He noticed the red blade of the weapon in the scoundrel's hand as the scoundrel remained crouched as he moved to flank the Jedi’s enemy, moving to their blindspot. He immediately drew his weapon and shot a continual barrage of blaster bolts - to force this enemy to face him- thereby buying Master Jahid a chance to act.

Tanal followed the scoundrel while swinging Avinn onto his back. Next moment a few more squadrons jumped out of hyperspace and enged the empire in the air. Ground troops were also sent to the landing by until suddenly the Empire were outnumbered, this is what the rebellion is all about. Tanal activated his homing beacon once more and started to make his way to the landing pad at with they had arrived. Their exit was also meet with a barrage of blaster bolts delivered by the Empire stormtroopers. Tanal used the force to take the inquisitor's weapon out of the young scoundrel's hand and start using it against the empire.

They reached the landing pad as a ship from one of the new squadron's arrived to pick them up. JuDais watched from an alcove as the rebels started to win against the empire.

Tanal then sent a message to his padawan, the message would read. "Safina, the scarlet vessel has been destroyed, meet us at the landing pad at with you arrived, we will discuss this in detail there"

Battle of Utapau



Safina moaned as another viper droid rammed its crackling probe into her shoulder from behind. The agony rippled through her entire body, intolerable, and she collapsed onto the stony ground. The hovering machines closed in on the convulsing Padawan, like acklays preparing to deliver the killer stab.

Antinnis strode toward her. The mission was soon to be completed. Vader would be pleased.

The Mirialan youth looked up and saw the Grand Inquisitor through tear-blurred eyes. She felt the hopelessness of being cornered and captured. Her emotions stirred at the impassive disdain on the face of the Imperial servant, fuelled by the pain of the electric shocks. He flicked a wrist and another jolt was delivered, just out of spite. Metal claws clamped around Safina's ankles and arms.

In that moment Safina felt a hatred for the inquisitor, and his arachnid robots that surrounded her.

She had seen the technique demonstrated many times. Indeed, she had tried it often enough. It was really just an extension of levitation (in which she was quite proficient), but focused outwards from the body, rather than inwards, and accelerated into a violent shove. Safina had never really perfected control of the skill.

But right in this moment, she did not seek control. She wanted to unleash it, uncontrolled. She wrenched away one wrist out of the claw of a droid, and thrust out a hand in the direction of the inquisitor. Safina called upon the Force and channelled it into a invisible battering ram. She felt the power course through her body and out from her mind.

Three of the droids that were before her were suddenly thrown backwards, clattering into the surprised inquisitor. He fell, breaking his concentration and control of the rest of his automatons.

Safina found herself momentarily free, and a moment was all she needed. With a battle cry she re-ignited her lightsaber and sliced the limbs from a droid one side of her, then span and rammed the blade tip into the glowing optical orb of another.

The opening came, and Safina scampered between the remaining droids - which now seemed struck by a kind of daze, as if they were living beings. Safina did not ponder on this further. She had to reach her masters.

The Padawan dashed away, pausing to glance over her shoulder and make sure Master Starwalker was also safe. She also saw Tremayne struggling to untangle himself from the pile of metal limbs. Then she made for the landing pad.

The nimble Padawan streaked across the rocky terrain. A ghost stalked the landscape with her. Safina knew what had just happened. She had surprised herself. She never before had produced an effect with such potency. But she knew she had channelled anger, pain, fear, rage - and focused it all into a Force Strike. That blow had come from the Dark Side, and in that brief moment, it had felt good.

She put aside the troubling thought. It would be something she had to deal with later, with the help of Jedi far more wise and experienced than herself.

Safina reached the landing pad and was dismayed to see the shattered remains of the Scarlet Vessel. Her heart froze with anxiety for a moment. But then she spotted Farnun and Master Jahid! They were alive!

The Mirialan teenager raced toward them as the sound of starship engines cycling for a landing screamed from above...

Tanal watched as his padawan grew nearer.

"Safina, thank god you're okay, the same can't be said for Avinn" Said Tanal. He used the inquisitor lightsaber to send blaster bolts back at the Imperial forces. Then a ship landed started hovering not far above them.

"That's our queue, Falcon Squadron move out" Cried Tanal. He grabbed Avinn used force leaped into the vessel. Hopefully his padawan would follow suit. Tanal put avinn onto a chair in the seating area of the ship and made his way into the cockpit. He sat in the co-pilot.

"Nice to see you again, General Jahid" Said the pilot.

"You too, Ace" Replied Tanal

IC: Farnun Venat
Scoundrel's Gambit

Seeing Safina made his heart leap with joy inside his chest! The sensation, was exceedingly brief however. Not too far behind Safina, Farnun saw rows and rows of Imperial stormtroopers giving chase, shooting at her with hopes of scoring a hit. A few shots whizzed by, which Master Jahid deflected. The ship hovering above them was their only means escape! Master Jahid force lept to the ship while carrying Master Avinn- and impressive feat for sure, but not one he could stop and admire at the moment.

Farnun got down flat on the ground, laying down on his stomach as he began to lay down covering fire in order to slow down the stormtrooper advance, at least as much as he could.

"GO!GO!GO!!" He said to Safina, urging her to leap up into the waiting ship. Every second they waited placed every single one of them in even greater danger. He couldn't allow that- wouldn't allow it. Farnun let out a fierce barrage of blaster bolts that gave pause to the frontal formation of pursuing Imperials.

You can't have her!! He growled at them mentally, his brow beaded with drops of sweaty determination.

IC: Gerald Starwalker

Moat people would be terrified of this sitition but Gerald enbraced his training and remained calm. Gripp and Onyxia stood before the jedi master. They may be inquistors but he was a jedi. He had always known that the light side of the force had always been more powerful than that of the dark and he had also always stood up againt the empire. Gripp attacked his crimson blade pointed at the jedi's chest. Gerald responded with a simple side step followed through with a kick to the back of the knee. Onyxia then stuck the jedi's lightsabers. Green and red clashed against one another. Gripp then recovered and the two inquistors attacked the jedi master at the same time one closing in on either side. Gerald then used a force leap to escape this attack and the two inquitors rammed into eachother. Gerald then turned to see the Mirilan jedi regrouping with the rest of her squadron. Gerlad gave the young padawan a little sualt as a sign of good luck. Gerald then use hit from behind by Gripp. He was then knocked cold. He was now in the empire's hands.

Battle of Utapau



Despite all the explosions and death and despair, Safina could not help but grin as she saw Farnun again. He kept his vow! She ran toward him, her heart singing with joy - where not so long ago it had been filled with darkness and anger.

She quickly evaluated the scene in the landing pad. Master Avinn was seriously wounded, tended to by Master Jahid. A stray blaster bolt whined by and she ducked and turned. Stormtroopers were converging on their position. Swarms of them! Farnun crouched and gave covering fire. Safina ignited her blue lightsaber to aid this effort.

There was a ship coming in from above now to pick them up. This is it, our means of escape!

But where was the Jedi with the green sabers? Safina turned and searched the war-blasted scenery. He was right behind me? Then she saw Master Starwalker and a chunk of ice lodged in her chest. The inquisitors, Gripp and Onyxia... They had him. Before her eyes, the Jedi fell, unconscious. He saluted just before he collapsed, as if this was all part of his plan - to help them escape. It was true, the black-armoured Darksiders stopped and put their attention on the fallen Knight.

"No!" cried Safina, batting away ruby arrows as the stormtroopers closed.

Then a voice, from behind her.

It was Tanal Jahid. He Force-leapt up to the hovering transport, and beckoned down for her to do the same. Safina shook her head. Why must life be full of decisions like this! But she knew what she had to do, no matter the emotional wrench of leaving one of their number behind.

The intensity of incoming fire steadily increased. Safina came to Farnun's side, deflecting bolts back at the oncoming army, as Farnun added his own accurate shots. But they could not stem the tide of white-armoured soldiers. Safina looked up, judged the distance to the waiting ship. Then she looked across to Farnun.

"Okay, listen, I've never done this before but we have to go - together. Hold on to me, really tightly, then when I push off you also jump up. Okay?"

She batted another blast away then said to Farnun, "Now! We have to go now!"

She could feel him coming. The ripples in the Force rocked her soul, like the wake of great battleship pounding toward her. Vader was coming for them.

As soon as Farnun wrapped his arms around her, Safina took a deep breath, reached inside for the Force, then jumped. Using all her concentration, she carried them both up with Force Levitation, to land lightly on the extended ramp of the hovering ship.

Then they were away; away from the battle, away from Utapau, away from the Empire...

IC: Tanal Jahid

Tanal watches as Safina and Farnin landed within the vessel. He then motioned to Ace to leave and they left the planet of utapau behind them along with master Starwalker. The empire then fled utapau and when falcon squadron arrived in the main flagship of Air Force 4 squadron. Tanal watched as a medical team took Master Neir to a medical area onboard and the two squadrons made the jump to hyperspace. Tanal turned to his Padawan.

"Come with me, Safina, we need to talk"

Refuge amongst the stars



The journey to reach the jump to hyperspace was fraught and silent - everyone on the ship doing their job to escape the pursuing Imperial fighters.

Safina let out a breath she did not know she had been holding only once they made the jump. Master Avinn was taken away for medical attention. Then...

That does not sound good.

Safina turned to Farnun. She opened her mouth to say something, but could not find words to express herself quickly enough in the situation. She simply flashed a pained smile at the handsome youth before rising and trotting after her master.

As Safina followed along beside Jahid, head bowed, eyes on the ground, her mind was a whirlwind of conflict. Is it because of Farnun... because of my feelings? Or is it what happened with the Grand Inquisitor? She dared not recall the feeling of drunken power that moment had drowned upon her. Looking back now, she knew what had happened. It seemed less scary with distance of time, but its gravity was not reduced. She needed to atone for her lapse, make sure it never happened again. She had to resist the allure of the Dark Side.

A final thought came to the Padawan. Or is it because I disobeyed him and returned to the battle?

Whatever it was, Safina felt in that moment like a naughty schoolgirl about to be chastised...

IC: Tanal Jahid

Tanal and his padawan walked in silence he still had the inquisitors lightsaber on him and he planned to use it.

He then turned into a room and stood before his padawan.

"Safina, you have disobeyed me many a time" said Tanal. He did not seem happy.

"I am glad you did, if it was not for you some of us may be gone right about now. Now I need you to help me, you will know by now that I have lost my lightsaber and now I must construct a new one. I need you to gather the following items for me." Explained Tanal to Safina handing her a list of items.

"I will remain here and prepare the kyber crystals" Said Tanal as he used the force to take both kyber crystals from within the lightsaber. Two red crystals laid before him. Tanal didn't know much but he knew how to purify a red lightsaber crystal and make it white and so be did so. It took a little while but two white kyber crystals now laid infront of Tanal.

IC: Safina
The next step?

Safina bowed her head in submission. She knew it was true, and that all her punishment would be deserved... but then...

Safina looked up sharply. She was not sure that was true, but she was not about to argue. Well, that went better than expected, she decided. The Padawan began to realise that "orders" given by her masters were actually sometimes a kind of test, that in the end every tutor wants their student to become able to grow and make their own decisions.

The revelation was still bouncing around inside her heart when she caught up with Master Tanal's subsequent request. Safina rocked on her heels. He wants me to source the parts of a new lightsaber?

This was such an unexpected development that Safina gaped as the Nautolan showed her the kyber crystals. He wants me to find the parts of a lightsaber?

She knew well that the bond between a Jedi Knight and his or her weapon was an intimate, personal thing, steeped in lore and ritual. Her hand unconsciously strayed to the saber at her own hip. This had been provided for her by Master Qiid, and in many ways she still sensed his personality in its touch.

To build your own lightsaber is the final test before becoming a Jedi Knight.

Was Jahid really asking her to find the parts for him, or... was this another enigmatic test? She looked down at the two red kyber crystals, and his words suddenly made sense. He was showing her how to bleed away the red, and make them pure white again.

There were two crystals. One for his new saber, one for her.

The act of making the new lightsaber, the meditation and self-reflection, that is what will bleed the Dark Side from my soul. That is the atonement I must do to make up for what happened on Utapau!

Safina sometimes disliked the Jedi way of speaking in metaphors and truths "from a certain point of view". But just this once, she understood what Tanal Jahid was trying to teach her. And she greatly appreciated his show of trust, despite her rebellious tendencies.

He is saying I am ready to become a Knight.

"I will do my best," she bowed and took up the datacard list. "Thank you, Master."

Then she turned and left.

Safina bounced along the corridor aboard the capital ship toward the hangar, deep in thought about what to do next. She studied the datacard for the hundredth time, frowning. Many of these technical part names she did not even recognise, let alone know what they actually did. She did not have the first clue as to how to source them.

Ten minutes ago, it had all seemed so clear. Now she was lost again. She knew from the teachings of old masters that each lightsaber construction was a journey, an individual story for each lone Knight, that only the individual can tell, each in their own way. And every aspiring knight was expected to use their own resources and initiative.

And friends?

Safina suddenly hit upon an idea as she spotted Farnun, still on the hangar deck. A medical droid was seeing to his wounds, but he looked okay. She skipped over to the youth. As she got closer, she suddenly felt shy again.

First the mattress on the Scarlet, and then the ascent from Utapau. We seem to keep ending up in very intimate physical situations. To be honest she had not thought about the tight embrace they had performed during the Force Levitation to escape the recent battle. It was just something that had to be done in the moment, to survive.

But looking back on that moment... and everything else...

Safina blushed.

Then she swallowed and tried to regain composure. I am preparing to become a full Jedi Knight! Please, maintain some decorum!

She strode the last metres and regarded the scoundrel. She took some deep breaths, then offered the datacard.

"I have been given a mission to find these things. It is important. I would... like you to come with me, if you would?"

This is stupid. Be yourself.

She stepped closer and lowered her voice. "I don't know what half of them are, let alone where to find them. Do you think you could... help me? I've been given authority to take a transport. You can decide where we go first."

She looked about the hangar then pointed. It was a cute, snub-nosed transport. Big enough, yet small enough, for a crew of two.



"We can use that one." She read the name on its side. The Viaje. Perfect...

IC: Farnun Venat
The Path Forward

The med droid dutifully attended to his wounds, scrapes and scratches. He had suffered a hairline fracture to his lower rib during the crash, but at the moment, his mind was…elsewhere.

Farnun had a profound assurance within himself, that he was alive not because of ‘dumb luck’, but something far greater. He was meant to do something, but he hadn’t figured out what a scoundrel like himself could do. After seeing first hand the persecution of the remaining Jedi, he understood. This whole thing was bigger than what he could ever imagine.

The Empire was relentless and cruel, which meant, they had to be equally committed to their cause, if not more. The Rebels were fewer in number, but they weren’t alone. He wasn’t alone.

He had Safina.

Or at least that’s how he felt.

He couldn’t help it.

Yeah, he was only a scoundrel. He couldn’t stop the Empire, but at least he could help by protecting her in his own way. Sure, she was a jedi, but she was also an inspiration. Not just to him, but to others as well, if the rumors were true.

Farnun felt a tickling jolt on his side, then a soothing relief as discomfort was chased away, then suddenly vanish. He turned and smiled at the med droid, then nodded. “Thank you.” He added after a beat.

The sound of someone approaching caught his attention and he turned towards it. His smile broadened as he saw Safina. Seeing her was better than any medicine he could receive for any of his troubles.

“Hey…” he greeted amiably, his spirit lifting inside him.

From her expression, he could tell there was something on her mind, and Farnun decided to listen. He was good at that. Sometimes.

Nod. Nod. Nod.

Hmmm. A mission? Farnun’s interest was peaked.

“Of course, I can help.” He said, trying to sound casual, after turning red when she got closer to him. Not that he minded at all. Especially since he found her proximity...intoxicating.

“We should look at the list….” he suggested, overstating the obvious, even as the medical droid was just now finished bandaging his entire midsection for support. Farnun then reached for his long coat and slowly put it on, after rising from the crate he’d been sitting on.

In that moment, Safina also pointed out a transport they would commandeer. He glanced over to it, and was glad to see that it was armed. It looked like a modified Corellian model. Stout and strong from the looks of it.

“Viaje…” he breathed out its name.

“I like it.”

IC: Tanal Jahid & Avinn Neir

Tanal had walked with Safina to the hanger and watched as she asked Farnun to join her.

"May the force guide you both" Tanal shouted to the two specters.

"They grow up so fast" Tanal said to himself. Tanal then proceded to the medical facilities on board to see Avinn. As he approached a member of the medical team.

"Jedi master Avinn Neir is awaiting your arrival, General Jahid." She said as she walked past the Nutolan Jedi master.

Tanal then entered the medical chamber to find Avinn awake and heavily bandaged. It seemed they had managed to prevent the bleeding.

"Tanal, take a seat my friend" Said Avinn pulling a seat up with the force. Tanal sat down on the chair.

"Tanal, I'm sorry" Said Avinn

"About what, Avinn?" Asked Tanal confused by what the jedi master had just said.

"I noticed you were able to ignite my saber, something only a being with the blood of a Neir can do. When you landed in my blood it entered your system through your wounds. Which also means that you have the curse of the Neirs. I can't go into detail here, I will tell you at some point soon my friend" Explained Avinn. Tanal now knew why so many Jedi of the old Jedi order never wanted to go on an assignment with Master Neir. Tanal then left and went to the bridge. He had taken Avinn's saber with him on Avinn's order. When he had entered the room fell silent. He stood next to Ace, a former freedom fighter on Ryloth. They then continued to talk. They were talking about a mission to rescue Master Starwalker.

"Question is where is he being held?" Ace said
"We have a feeling that he is being held in Vader's fortress on Mustafar. We have gathered some of the best fighters and pioltes in the rebellion. We just need someone to lead the mission. Anyone who wants to lead it, talk now" said a commanding officer called Tash. He was a former Senator. He had retired after the fall of the republic and was one of the very few who knew what had happened to the jedi. The room was silent and Tanal could sense unease amogest his fellow fighters.
"I'll do it" Tanal finally said as his eyes meets Tash's.
"Very well, General Jahid of Falcon squadron will lead the mission, May the force be with them" Said Tash as the rebellion dispersed. Tanal went to the hanger and met up with his task force. This was going to be tough, but it wasn't impossible.

IC: Darth Nammend.

Nammend walked down the hall in Vader's Fortess and entered a cell containing the jedi master known as Gerald Starwalker. She had been tasked with questioning the jedi master and her Master had one of his lightsabers, while she had the other. The jedi master was currently tied up.

"Where are they, Gerald, the rebels, you don't understand us. Do you?" Said Nammend. She had taken down her hood and her Sith eyes Glee brighter than they had on utapau. She awaited the jedi's response. If he didn't answer her directly then she had other means of getting the answers she wanted from prisoners
Her hand wrapped around her Lightsaber.

IC: Gerald Starwalker

Gerald had awoken to find himself in a cell. He watched on as Nammend entered. He saw one of his lightsabers clipped to her belt alongside her own.

Gerald rolled his eyes at the sith apprentice.

"Clealy, it's you who doesn't understand us, Darth. We rebels will never betray eachother. I will never talk and I also understand the Empire very well. You are villains, destroyers of the galaxy, you are weak to give in to the dark side." Said Gerald. He wanted nothing more than to grab his Lightsaber and cut the sith down where she stood, but as he was tied up he was in no position to do so. He waited for the Apprentice to respond. He was just hoping that Falcon squadron had escaped with no difficulty.

IC: Darth Nammend

Nammend listened to the jedi master.

Nammend then unclipped her Lightsaber and ignited the red blade.
" There are other ways that I can get the information I want from you Jedi." She said as she reached him and she pressed her Lightsaber to his skin. She then unclipped and ignited the master's green bladed Lightsaber.

Gerald felt the pain and the heat of the blade cutting into his skin he booted the Sith backwards and used the force to break himslef out. He then held his saber at the sith.

"This is not the end of the rebellion, everyday we grow stronger and we will always resist the empire." He said.

Nammend was surprised by the sudden attack from the jedi. When she regained her balance the jedi now stood ahead of her, blade in hand. Nammend activated a clip on her belt. There would be inquisitors down here shortly. She then went for the jedi again. Her blade would hopefully clash with his.

IC: Tanal Jahid.

Tanal had boarded a new ship that would later be the main flagship of falcon squadron. though he did not know it. He fired up the engines and the party left for the planet of Ryloth to gather some more fighters against the empire. Avinn had also left the medical facility under the surveillance of his old protocol Droid, I-8DT.

He had watched the party leave the hanger.

"May the force be with you" He had said as they left, now on the other hand he went to another hanger where there stood a new ship for air force 4 squadron. something they liked to call The Force 2.0. It was a magnificent vessel, and resembled an old carlieean transport.

Ryloth

Those words still made his wound flair up, even three years later.
"Execute Order 66."
He watched his apprentice fall in a hail of blaster bolts. Arito turned to deflect blaster bolts as he fell back, ultimately being shot in the chest and hurtled over the side of a bridge. He was left for dead.

By the time he made it back to the Dauntless he was blacking out and hit some random coordinates. He tried to help himself, but all he could do was buy time. He saw the galaxy close in around him as hyperspace was kicked in and his X-wing took right off.

3 Years later

Arito's first heart never beat quite right after that day, it made breathing hard when he really got worked up. The Resistance fighters were gearing up for some action and Arito was going to be a part of it. He had seen too many men and women give their lives just so they didn't have to become slaves.
And he was set in his ways.

"Master Arito, are you ready for this operation?"
He'd sigh as he stood, sliding his lightsaber under his robe. "I am, I hope this time we get more out than the last time, that was such a waste of life." He stood as the plan was finalized, gone over again, and then there were somber nods and looks as the teams grouped together and took off to various points for various ambushes.

Gerald's blade clashed with Nammend's own red one. Gerald pushed back and he ran out of the cell he deactivated his Lightsaber as he ran and ran into two inquisitors. They grabbed him and knocked him out.
