All I know is that the last trailer music was epic. I can't even imagine what the music for the whole movie will be like.
Last trailer was not Williams, but I agree in that the use of the Han/Leia theme got me in the feels.
It's official, same date as the movie: http://www.starwars.com/news/the-star-wars-the-force-awakens-soundtrack-arrives-december-18 Right in time for Xmas, obviously. Just glad they're not delaying the CD a month or so after the digital release, as they do with Game of Thrones.

#3 had me thinking this was another joke album, but I dunno. Seems too boring to be a joke. I like the scherzo.
That's about what I'd expect. Attack of the Clones got 76 and Revenge of the Sith got 70 minutes. I just hope that they eventually do a full 2hr set.
Wish that at least one song aside from the intro and finale was on the longer side. A Battle theme that was 9 some odd minutes long like the Battle of Yavin, Hoth or split into parts like the Endor theme.
I have the soundtrack and I did what I always do with new Star Wars scores before I see the film: I listened to the opening track and the end titles. Sounds good so far! It's sort of weird hearing a new performance of the Main Title. Also, I did hear a few uses of a pre-existing theme, but I won't say which one.
Are there any really distinctive new themes in the TFA soundtrack? Anything on par with Duel of the Fates or Across the Stars?
March of the Resistance and Jedi Steps are both fantastic. No doubt they will be the dominant themes of this trilogy.
