Yeah. Shows Poe firing a gun and then flashes to Finn and Slip and Slip gets hit.
That's pretty rough if true.

I think Kylo is talking / praying to a non-responsive, charred out husk of a Darth Vader mask and since he's consumed by the dark side, he can't hear "Anakin" respond to him.

And I am also hoping for a Anakin Force Ghost appearance at some time in the ST and thinking it's likely. It would be wonky if considering how chatty Force Ghost Ben was in ESB and ROTJ if they just completely drop Force Ghosts as visual apparitions that our characters can talk to, that would feel odd.

 

Rey will get to speak to Anakin after she exposes Kylo as a blood bender and connects with her spiritual self.

Most interesting theory I saw today: Rey is Luke's daughter... his wife fell to the dark side and recruited her nephew to destroy the academy. Her name was Ren

I know. But I feel TFN should disclosed when they do paid endorsements that are materially false.

 

IMO it was a smart move by Del Ray and Lucasfilm to stop publishing any new post RTOJ EU stuff in 2004. It was a good note to end on all of our favorite characters, both old and new, being in such a great thematic position. Kudos.It was a shame Mr. Denning was killed in that bus accident though, he may have been planning some neat stuff. Oh well, probably for the best.

EDIT: But, yeah, it's an idea I'm relatively interested in. More so if she was a saboteur rather than a student Luke failed, mind you.

Honestly, I would be okay with this just because I want Episode VIII to have alien species that I've seen / heard of before in general. I don't understand why TFA has basically no familiar aliens, when the six other films all had the same alien races popping up in every single one of them. Yeah, every movie introduced new aliens, but they didn't totally abandon familiar ones in the process. Not until TFA...

 

Wookies? Sullastans? Mon Calamari? Did I imagine those in TFA?

 

Apparently we need scantily clad Twi'lek dancers in every Star Wars, and a Duros.

We don't see any familiar aliens in ESB outside Chewie, btw. Everything was new in that movie.

I sadly missed the joke and was momentarily alarmed since I'd just told a friend about Peter David's stroke (which happened two years ago).

 

I mean, apart from already-established characters. Yeah there was Chewie, Ackbar, and Nien Nunb. I think I saw a Kubaz in Maz's castle though, so I'll give them that. I'd just like to see some more familiar aliens in the background. It feels weird not seeing them.

 

There was a Bothan in the Resistance high command bunker.

Mostly because there are barely any aliens at all in ESB.
