This next one has to be the most involved piece I've done, spending about 6 hours working on it trying to get it right.

You have some interesting pieces here, with a unique approach to composition and color. I find, of these, that "Rise Darth Vader" is my favorite: the "broken glass" motif, with a separate image of the doomed lovers in each shard, is a strong metaphor--well done! "You Were The Chosen One" looks good too--but it shows up pretty small on my monitor. I'd like to see it bigger--you don't have a larger version of the image, do you?

Great work! Such a variety of imagery which is always nice to see. I agree with Falcon in that the image with the shards is the most visually powerful of the lot due to the strong meaning behind it. Very well done in technique too. Great work and your thread title got a laugh out of me too which is always good.

I second the thoughts of Rogue and Falcon about 'the chosen one'. It does have a lot of meaning behind it. The images you chose do represent key moments of anakin in AOTC and ROTS. It is cleverly laid-out. The way you blended all the pictures together with a few specifc colours (your choice of colours also adds it; the red, grey, and black together make it feel dreary, 'cold', and harsh) was a good technique. I also like that sort of texture or a 'dusty' like overlay (that's what it looks like to me anyway..) you used; it is very nice.

Over-all on all your works, it is impressive. You have great talent with graphics. The 'you were the chosen' artwork looks (IMO) like something you'd expect to see on a SW site done very creatively with flash. I could easily see you designing graphics for websites.

 

WOW, I'm so flattered by the comments that everyone left. I'm so glad that everyone likes the pieces I've posted. As for the larger image of the chosen one you just need to click on the link and that takes you to fotki and you click on the link below the picture that says get original up load and that'll show you the 1024x768 image. Thank you everyone that took the time to look at my work. When Episode 3 comes out on DVD I'll get some caps and make some more. As well as from the other movies.

Wow! I really like the latest one. What type of filter did you use on that? It really looks nice.

in photoshop i used the filter called ink outlines. I created a duplicate of the back ground, used the filter and then turned down the opacitiy until I got it the way we like it.

 

We got Episode 3 yesterday and I was inspired by several scenes to make some new wallpapers. The first one is of Obi-wan taking luke to his uncles home on tattooine (spell?). I'm working on another one kind of like this but for leia.

not 2 shabby...vey nice indeed
of the last 3 the ani/vader one is the best...looks great with what u did over there face
a new hope is good to...apart from the "selection tool" outline of one of the pics
not really a fan of the organa one...u used the same pic twice in it and it doesnt seem to goto together...and it is way too bright

 

thanks for the feed back, but actually the images in the princess leia piece are different. One is Bail handing the baby over to his wife and the second one is just them lovingly looking at their daughter. But I'll try and redo the piece and make it better. Thanks again for the feed back.

The Jedi Knight/Sith Lord one is really cool, but the rest in the first post don't do anything for me. They're just movie images on top of other images...

 

I'll definately make more Chilla, but probably not until after the weekend.
