The Geriatric Ward, Epsiode IV - A New Home

Do you read the posts throughout the JC and see the pictures in the ?post a pic of yourself? thread and ask yourself the following questions:
?Why is someone of my age here with all of these young people??
?Isn?t that guy half my age??
?How can I drool over his/her picture when he/she could be my child??
?This joker never heard of [insert memory of some decade long gone here]??

If so, then this is the place for you. I am Otis, your Geriatric Ward orderly. I help maintain the room listing and keep this place running smoothly, along with the other employees of the Ward. All you have to do is pull up a rocking chair, add some more poli-grip to your dentures, and chat with your fellow old people. Frankly at your age, that?s about all you can do without breaking a hip.


We have a fully staffed kitchen which provides adequate meals, including the famed Green Jell-O. Who could ask for anything more? Well, I could. It?s no secret that I find working here to be a bit of a burden. Young people need to hang out with other young people. You are so boring!

Excuse me; I went off on a rant again. I apologize. I really need a vacation. Instead, I get to move all of you old coots into a new Ward. Do you have any idea how much trouble that is? Have you considered the paperwork? The possible litigation should one of you get lost en route? Get lost? Hmmmmm.

Anyway, this will be the 9th iteration of the Geriatric Ward. It?s remarkable how talkative old people can be ? one would think that you would wear out your lungs (or in this message board, your fingers). Still, it?s quite true that many have joined the Ward only to fall by the wayside. I figure that by the 10th iteration there will only be 10 people left here, which will make things much easier for me. So let?s get through #9 really quickly, okay? Great!

Our History
The official Geriatric ward of the JC by darthmomm reached 13,330 posts.
Anyways...with lag times and all...we relocated to our new digs,
The WARD House (10,048 posts), but we were plagued with an infestation problem?bugs haunted us to no avail with every 25th post.
Senile City ? The Geritol Ward became the next destination.
After we discovered that we were no longer Senile?we were placed in The Crypt, to be tended by the Crypt Keeper.
Suddenly, the The Psycho Circus was built and we relocated to the plush new estate.
After the Psycho Circus exploded?we were all sent to the Coffin House ? Home of the UnDead because of ability to still breathe.
After some failed relationships, unexpected pregnancies, blossoming lovers, and overall mischief, the Austin, I am your father...no wait, your Grandfather - The New Geriatric WARD

I gave GIMER a suite, for I think it was a long time coming.


There may be AC installed, but I'm waiting for the paperwork to go through. This is the fifth time that I've submitted the request. There's always a typo, or someone loses the yellow copy and I have to go through this all over again.

Expected date of the central air unit is September 26th.
