The God Of Thunder - Thor Movie Thread ***Spoilers***

The first image looks like Will Ferell. But the second looks awesome. I hope they didn't ditch the helmet...

That's a very weird pic. all the costumes look kind of cheap and plastic.

 

Loki looks kinda like Brent Spiner (it isn't he though).

One writer has some good history. The other looks a little shakey. So, there's a chance that this will be good.

Funny that they changed the title. Guess they wanted to be able to show the movie in the bible belt without offending as much of the religious bigot organizations.

 

When I looked at IMDB, it listed that as working US title.

 

Yeah thats strange. I had only seen or heard it be called "Thor". This is the first I have heard of the rest of the title.

 

I expect it'll be much like Star Wars photos before the ILM magic. Because right now, the sets and suits are not looking too good on their own. Though I did notice that Thor's armor is a bit more shiney compared to the first photo.

 

why the 30 seconds of blank, dead, black space at the end?

 

I would guess with the slate off the top, the short 2 blip and the deadspace, that someone pulled this from the source tape unedited.

It looks like Coulson's getting a bigger role in this movie. I hope it's more than just what we see in the trailers. I rather like the character.

Eesh...even Portman can't save this one...I never would've thought Captain America would look more promising then Thor.

 

Really? Of Green Lantern, Captain America, and this I think Thor will have the best box office. I mean the trailer was flawless, I don't really see anything potentially negative in it. The costume is good, acting good, nod to continuity.

 

I have to wonder why Heimdall is on the poster instead of Loki. I mean he's the main villain so he'd be one of the main characters. Unless this is just a hero poster.

 

I had a sneaking suspicion that was it, but I was hoping there was a better reason. Poor Loki, no wonder he turns evil when he doesn't get on any movie posters.

 

Just got back from seeing this ... pretty cool movie.

I'm looking forward to see how this ties into 'The Avengers'.

The Australian release date for the film was today the 21st that's how.
