very good! although, dare i say it, it`s not very "star wars-ey"? it`s still a million times better than anything i could come up with. i try to open photoshop, and a little box asks "is this dave?", i click yes and the computer shuts down. haven`t tried since.

 

he is right its now star wars'sy enough but then again its not FF enough. Phil mentioned allowing other types in such as harry potter, SG1 etc. i think these should be added e.g. the signposts one idea might be to have one pointing to hogwarts


and when we meet up i suggest we have a new pic of everyone (i am still hoping i can make it)

 

a new pic of everyone is a great idea (as ang runs for her life!! ) but i ain`t sure about HP etc being on the banner.

 

I'm offering to take the pic!! I Dont do photos.

 

hey lady wiz, if the lord wiz is yoda shouldn't you have a pic of Yaddle?
and i think everyone should be in it so just get a bystander to take one.

 

i agree that ang should be in the photo. either that or i have a couple of pics that can be photoshopped in .

Star Wars-y, eh !

Any bright ideas on how we make a collection of local landmarks with us impossed over the top of them more Star Wars-y ?? I don't want to be sarcastic here but isn't a photo of us holding lightsabers star wars-y enough ?

how about tie fighters buzzing the bull-ring? or a star destroyer above it?

Why does it need anything particularly Star Wars-y in it. Take a look at the Philly forums. They don't have anything particularly excessive to do with Star Wars in their banner, it's more stuff about where they're from.

You'd have to look at the URL to even know that our forum is on a Star Wars board.

If I may, I always liked banners and such that tell something about the group. Take a look at MEPA's. They did both. They have their members and Star Wars stuff.

 

Right so you guys want -

1/ Local landmarks and other bits of local interest
2/ A picture of us
3/ Star Wars bits and pieces
4/ Harry Potter stuff
5/ Anything that we may be doing in the near future

All on a 1524 x 110 banner with left side of 500 x 32, talk about getting your money's worth. I'm going to ask Phill to add this subject to the agenda for next weekends meet, we need to discuss it and have a vote on the outcome.

 

sounds good. if i get time ill draw one up from what u have used with a few changes. this will be on paper as i dont have photoshop.

 

Don't forget there is a corner piece on the left as well Oh, and the two little icons that sit either side of the advert.
