    Right, I have all my shots, but unfortunately not enough time to download them all to photobucket. But I'll post the first one.

    01. This is the front door to my flat:

    Beautiful San Diego California.

    Some history. San diego was the first of Missions from the spanish settlers, coming from the south. Basically the Spaniards (my ancestors) went up California, built these churches and they would have a guy take over. It was like being far away from home..and they all wanted to go back to Mexico city..there was nothing in California, but the missions, some farms and the catholic priests. They were here to spread the word. But failed when the east took over.. then they all got sent back! and California was purchased by America.

    Here's a map of california. and where all the missions are.

    [image=http://phynux.com/webworks/images/missions.jpg]

    This is what Saint Diego used to look like. Yes he was catholic, died crucified.

    [image=http://es.catholic.net/catholic_db/imagenes_db/gente_en_la_iglesia/san-diego-de-alcala.jpg]

    This is what the mission looks like today. He kinda looks like me doesn't he?

    [image=http://www.athanasius.com/camission/diego1_t.jpg]

    Anyways, that's some history for you.

    Now San Diego is all new, expensive and grand. All of downtown is basically new. Most buildings about 100 years or so old..but San Diego is mostly new.

    [image=http://san-diego-hotels.info/images/sandiego/san-diego.jpg]

    We have a man made island named CORONADO...so they built a bridge to get there.
    the coronado bridge. nothing special. I seen better.

    [image=http://www.raonline.ch/images/sandiego/bilder/san_coronado.jpg]

    If you ever go to the beach..you have to stay at the CORONADO hotel. of course named after the spanish conquistador..this hotel is historic and it's the best we have..it's by the best beach in San Diego. the water is always cold, and I seen better beaches in places like Cancun Mexico or the caribean. Alot of San diego have lots of Algae and it's very cold..but the sand and the people are nice. I once saw Bill clinton running on this beach..he's a cool guy.

    [image=http://www.find-your-hotel.com/hotel-photos/san-diego/hotel-del-coronado-san-diego-picture.jpg]

    We have a new park. PETCO park where the PADRES play. they suck! But the stadium is nice. Next to the convention center, where the COMIC CON takes place..click on image to get a nice view of downtown san diego.

    [image=http://history.sandiego.edu/gen/local/images3/CAN03301b.jpg]

    This is where im staying for the comic con. the westing emerald plaza. :) it's part of the Downtown skyline.

    [image=http://www.usa-hotels-net.com/hotels/wyndham-emerald-front.jpg]

    the convention center.

    [image=http://www.photohome.com/pictures/california-pictures/san-diego/san-diego-convention-center-1a.jpg]

    We have Balboa park. very historic..again lots of spanish architecture everywhere you go.

    [image=http://www.arborealecstacies.com/sdhs/Misc%20Pics/balboa_park.jpg]

    the world famous san diego zoo.

    [image=http://www.eg.bucknell.edu/~hyde/dan/SanDiego/Jpegs/238San%20Diego%20Zoo.JPG]

    Of course LEGOLAND. Never been there, but they say it's alright. Not my thing really.

    [image=http://www.eg.bucknell.edu/~hyde/dan/SanDiego/Jpegs/297LEGOLANDCalifornia.5.JPG]

    San Diego today is a diverse city. You have all kinds of people working, having fun, in the Navy..But you also have ugly places like all areas..but downtown is really nice. Real State is expensive and Jobs are hard to come by. Lots of Labor work, restaurants or other clerk job. Overall, it's a nice place with security and high class. I think that's why everyone wants to move here.

    that's San Diego 2007.

    Right, here we go then.

    01. As I said yesterday, this is the front door to my flat:

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_01.jpg]

    I live in Clapham, in the south west of London, in a converted flat situated on the middle floor of a three story Victorian terrace house.

    02. Here's the rest of my street :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_02.jpg]

    I am a couple of minutes walk from...

    03. Clapham Common :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_23.jpg]

    A very large expanse of greenery in the middle of the town with ponds, a pub, a bandstand, a basketball court, a couple of cafe's, a play park for the kiddies and is also home to lots of people with beers and picnics at weekend, if the sun is shining. It's great in the summer. Something we are failing to have this year in England.

    My flat is also a couple of minutes walk from a small street that has a 'villagey' feel to it. Filled with small shops, local restaurants, a church and a pub...

    04, 05, 06, 07:

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_04.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_06.jpg]
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_12.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_05.jpg]

    It is also home to...

    08. My weekend brekkie hangout:

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v464/OBIWAN-JR/JR_48_03.jpg]

    Most Saturday and Sunday mornings I am to be found in here, having a large cappuccino, scrambled eggs on granary toast and reading the papers.

    ....

    More tomorrow. :)

    Clapham is historically famous for The man on the Clapham omnibus

    And that Omnibus has evolved over the years...

    I'm a real foodie and love to eat out for brunch, lunch or dinner!
    And locally there are three fantastic restaurants that I am often to be found in...

    [image=http://www.balhamkitchen.com/images/photo_home2.jpg]
    Balham Kitchen Bar & Grill

    Owned by Nick Jones, of Soho House fame.

    Tsunami (no site or pics)

    A wonderful sushi restaurant with the old chef from Nobu at the helm.

    [image=http://www.urbanpath.com/photos/london/trinity-clapham.jpg]
    Trinity Restaurant

    Probably the best restaurant in Clapham.
    Expensive, but great for a treat.

    We also have a few cool bars too, but this one is my fave...

    Lost Society

    FANTASTIC cocktails!!
    Time Out London's Bar of the Year 2006

    .....

    Tomorrow, we widen out the tour to where I work, and then more of LONDON as a whole.

    I tend to have oysters and then either the burger or the steak at BKB&G for dinner, because it's such great brasserie food. They make bloody wonderful Bloody Mary's, too and I like to have a couple of those with eggs benedict for brunch.

    Sushi/sashimi I love the tuna and the salmon.

    And at Trinity the menu changes regularly.
    Last time I was there I had grilled monkfish.

    I am now actually salivating whilst still sitting in my office at work, having had no dinner.
    It is 22.10 here...

    I work for a design agency in historic Clerkenwell, central London; once home to Oliver Cromwell and Daniel Defoe. Our studios are just round the corner from the meatpacking district of Smithfields Market:

    Also home to the glorious Smith's Of Smithfield, or SOS (usually the message one sends out after too many black sambucas in the bar!!).

    Grande Capp, please!!

    Thanks, Bri.
    Taken only as such!

    I'm going to Shoreditch House tonight for a work party, and I am SO excited. It's just down the road from where I work. I desire membership.

    If I didn't like women so much, I'd swear I was gay. :p

    Do you mean wine bars, or actual places where wine is made?

    Where wine is made. I know you don't actually have any in London. I just meant within reasonable driving distance.

    My local cinema, one of the oldest in London, Streatham Odeon.
    In its prime, when Streatham was the West End of South London. It was known as the Astoria, and is about 80 years old
    [image=http://www.ideal-homes.org.uk/images/lambeth/streatham/astoria-00041-640.jpg]

    In the 80s it was falling apart
    [image=http://mawgrim.sathosting.net/projection/streatham.jpg]

    I have no pics of it after its renovation in the 90s :p

    But its my favourite place in the world

    The main screen is massive, because the place used to be theatre too, so its just huge.
