So, Qort and Farzala will visit Nal Hutta. I wonder how many references to TCW (locations, Grand Hutt Council's members) will be included.

I could certainly see Marlo being featured, since the War of the Bounty Hunters stuff just referenced the High Republic era with him.

Anyone else wondering how exactly Krix and Zeen became friends? Cause man, Krix is such a self-centered, vicious little kid that it is hard to imagine why someone as nice as Zeen would consider him her best friend.

He does make an interesting foil to her though, and I am very interested to see where their stories lead them.

And in the origins of their whole community to begin with - I have to admit I shocked the elder survived as long as he did but I will be interested in whatever infodumps he has in the future.

He was probably a normal kid before all the Great Disaster / Nihil / Jedi stuff happened. Also it doesn't take that much for kids to be friends. Proximity is a big factor. But yeah, they're certainly not as close as Thane and Ciena in Lost Stars, for example.

 

I love Zeen, she's my favorite padawan next to chort. I like yhr others,but thos two just love them.

Surprisingly there are a few really interesting reveals on that front in "Race To Crashpoint Tower", and although it's a brief side quest it's pretty cool and opens up a few more questions, implying that the thread might resurface again at some point.

Oh? That is pretty interesting. I hadn't paid that much attention to that book since the title and description made it sound very narrowly focused, but if it does have more of the topic I might have to check it out.

It is essentially an arc of this series, overlaid onto the Republic Fair plot of The Rising Storm -- Lula is a co-lead, really, and the new Padawan who gets introduced will be a regular in HRA going forward, I think.

If anyone knows of an easy and legal way to read these comics in NZ, it would be much appreciated.

Apparently IDW's licence only applies in the US?

 

You might have to order them in, I do it for the epic collections in Aus. Though supply chains are VERY slow these days.

 

I kind of wish this were an animated series. It's kind of like what I imagine GL and Filoni had in mind for the younglings/padawan spin off of TCW.

Maybe they can do something like that, but set in the Coruscant Temple or another outlier temple or outpost.

Interesting stuff with the combination of the drengir threat and internal scheming. And while I often complain about unnecessary cameos I have to admit I am really excited to see Jabba play a role here, and as Foreign said it would be fun to see the start of his rise to power.

I do have to admit I was both amused and disappointed that apparently the hutts are using starhoppers back in the high republic era. Apparently it is a solid fighter if it has centuries of service under its belt.

As an aside, has anything established a relationship between the Hutts and the Nihil? I mean, the Nihil have to sell their loot and buy their gear somewhere....

IIRC, it is mentioned in LOTJ that the Nihil present themselves as the alternative to both Republic and the Hutts to
their new recruits.

Wow, they are hoping around more than I was expecting - I really thought there was going to be a whole arc on Nal Hutta getting into Jabba's schemes and hutt politics. That said, it should be interesting to see what these places are up to in this era.
