Lit Books Comics The High Republic (aka "Project Luminous")

That's a lot of new info right there. And it starts to answer some of my curiosity about HR droid tech (and astromechs in particular). Looking forward to seeing more.

 

I hope someone makes a combined video of all these HR video shorts.

 

A fellow on reddit is reporting that the High Republic short stories from Star Wars Insider are being collected this coming December. (Spoiler due to image size)

But so far, isn't there only four stories? Are High Republic stories just going to be a staple in Insider until December?

But for collections like, often there will be new material too as incentive to buy for those that have the Insider stories.

Question... how exactly is the High Republic's expansion into these more lawless and feudal regions working? Systems voluntarily joining? Lots of uninhabited systems? Assuming the more anarchic worlds want a more consistent and steady presence to help with bandits and warlords, and just plopping down outposts until they enforce a vote for them to official join? Liberating worlds from more oppressive planetary/regional despots?

 

From what little info we have it is more about bringing infrastructure to the outer rim. Some planets are being talked into joining.

Barbara Hambly Revival! Bonus points if it features Belsavis and the secrets burried there underground since the TOR MMO! The Adventures of younger Beldorion the Hutt? And after Nihil and Drengir an Army of Droch that can impersonate humanoids? And lets not forget uploading Jedi souls into computers of a flying asteroid dreadnaught that had been built to indoctrinate whoever it recruits. Maybe the Nihil upload some San Tekkas into their ships and Path Engines?

Actually that sounds about fitting their modus operandi for the High Republic era!

Apparently The High Republic #1 has sold over 1,000,000 copies. Where would that place it in terms of comic book sales records, and does anyone know what the drop-off has been like from there?

Edit: Looks like 2015's Star Wars #1 sold a similar amount, but "over 1,000,000" is pretty vague.

 

That's the vexed issue on any sales figures, we really don't know.

 

Looking into it, I'm not convinced the "1,000,000 copies" wasn't taken out of context.

In fact, I think someone has taken a joke by Cavan Scott on a livestream about "a million printings" literally, but misquoted it as "a million copies" and I've since repeated it. Oops.
