The "I Dare You" Challenge - Got any extra dares???

Ok, I'll sign up with this too. For saga. I like wierd color combinations.

Question: Can we challenge them to a crossover, or just straight SW?

I'll get back to you on the cross-over issue. The only difficulty might be if the victim... er, partner isn't familiar with the cross-over. But I'll let you know as soon as we decide.

Crossovers - I think if the person being dared with the other universe is familiar enough with it, then it's okay. Because that's kind of the point of splitting people up into different eras. As someone who hasn't read the YJK books, I'd have a very hard time writing anything about Zekk. In that same vein, if someone challenged me to write a crossover with Star Trek, I'd be completely lost. And ST is a HUGE universe! I'd spend more time researching than writing.

 

Alright, another challenge! Just what I need... thank goodness the deadline isn't until October. Gives time for the plotbunnies.

Um...sign me up for Beyond the Saga please, though I'd be willing to do the Saga if there aren't enough volunteers.

One question though, are the judges going to be told the "dares" each pair of authors gave to each other?

One question: how specific (or vague) do these dares have to be? For example, how about "I dare you to write a KOTOR fic" or "I dare you to write an angsty Mary Sue set on Earth where Qui, Obi, Ani, and Maul have a four-way lightsaber fight at the mall and Mary Sue makes them kiss and make up with the help of Harry and Hermione (extra points if written in 1337)"?

My personal take on it is that the more you can stump your partner, the better. Makes for some interesting results. But that's just me, because I would really love to see a vig written all in 1337.

I'd say we let folk be able to opt out on crossovers if they don't feel comfortable with it, if they do... more power to them!!!

Oh dear Sith! Which one which one which one! I know Before pretty well but certain ppl there know which characters I don't like to write, which could get interesting... I don't do Saga often, but that would be a challenge... I love most of Beyond, though some of NJO really stinks plot-wise...
