Wonderful Job on getting the two new icons up

Still eyeballing one of them

 

So, about what time will the icons get replaced, and what is going to be done about icons that are tied for votes?

 

The actual replacing will occur either later tonight or in the next day or two. Very soon!

And those icons that tied will default to keeping the Original icon. An icon recommnded for replacement must have more votes than that of keeping the original icon.

 

Damn, then it doesn't look like the C' Baoth icon will get uploaded...

 

Can the ones that are either tied or very close just be added? Close scores would suggest that it is just as good as the original and would make a good addition. I think a lot of people prefered for vote for one or the other, rather than add, so while the icon may have not beaten out the original, there may be just as many if not more people who like it.

 

I second that.
Maybe we could keep all icons that recieved a certain number of votes? At least those that aren't very similar to the replacement.

Of course, if they're very similar, likr this one and this one, it won't work. Bah!

 

LOL, good point. Well, that one might have to defer to the original. They were so similar, both clear and sharp, it was hard to pick.

 

That's why I said "those that aren't very similar to the replacement". I'd say we don't really need two icons that are made from the same picture. But some are quite different.

All icons that tied will be declared winners. All icons within a 1-2 vote gap will be added. There will be some exceptions, such as the 2 Yoda's shooting lightning. I think you will all be very happy with the winners page I will post in 40 minutes.

Thanks to all the great work by the icon-makers for making this icon process a success! We have a finalized list of the winning icons which will replace many existing icons that are outdated and/or redundant. We also have several additions and deletions.

And without any further ado, may I present the winner's page.

I will announce more details about the final phase (Phase IV) when we prune a few more icons from the JC icons as a whole.

I was hoping that the Beru icon would be added, they were pretty close in votes...

I hadn't noticed that, but he has a point. The Beru replacement had 7 to replace and 8 to add. That is 15 to the 11 of the original. And there was a second TPM Ani that had 12 votes. I thought those were close enough to be added. Were there any others that were borderline?

Who made ^this icon and where did (s)he get the picture? Max looks really strange there, more puppet-like than the original. So, I'm curious.

 

7 or 8, that's still less than 11 who want the original. Personally, I think the new Beru is nice, but I love the smile on the original which is why I voted for that one.

These two are similar, but the one with the gun is better IMO. And then there's this icon I'm using right now. Is it possible to have a revote? Just for that one? I voted delete but if I had to chose one, I like [image=http://www.sgtfretsurfer.com/Grilled-Sarlacc/updatedicons/Leia12.gif].

Yes, but why can't we add the second one, is what I am asking... they are two different versions of Beru, and both would be fine to have uploaded, IMO....
