Heroes is a great song. I'm a little disappointed Embrace didn't get any love as they're my favourite band (seen them live numerous times) but I will concede that they are a little less well known than Bowie or Blur and that you need to hear them a few times before they really gel (The First Albumn "The Good Will Out" if brilliant BTW, not a bad track on there)

I've gone Birdhouse in your soul as it holds a lot of Love in our household but if Bowie or Blur take it, I'd be happy, I would lean Blur over Bowie just in this list though and it's the finest of hairs that takes it over the line for me.

not changing my vote though.

 

Lots to like on this list, but man I love Bowie so much. Has to be Heroes.


Edit: also besties my fav band Five Iron Frenzy just dropped a new album two months early. I am so excited for a second round.

I had just finished watching a video about Goransson. Telepathy !!!

Seriously, though, that guy is so talented. When he was about my age he was making the soundtrack for Creed. And what am I doing now? Spending time watching his videos... In this world, someone makes the soundtrack of Creed, and someone watches videos of the guy who made the soundtrack of Creed.

I’m only listening to the 15 songs in the poll, partly out of spite as it was painful enough reducing my own list to 15, and anything more than 15 is a blatant disregard for the established rules followed by everyone else and set by the honourable SuperWatto. I’m not surprised that loathsome heels has allowed it

 

Yeah, I’m not a fan of making exceptions to the number of tracks rule. It was tolerable here because it still only wound up at 69 minutes (nice) but it shouldn’t be allowed again going forward. I’d be sympathetic to arguments that those four tracks should be automatically disqualified.

I went with “Return to Cabrini” because it was new to me and pleasantly odd.

 

Yeah, 16-19 should be disregarded.

 

Yeah sorry Cor, you know I love you but this is unfair.

 

After listening, my pick is...

Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn. Forth, Eorlingas!

 

looking forward to getting into Cor's list today. works out extra nice that it's all soundtracks since it's easier for me to work while listening.
