Ok, I'm just at Dankmus and I've already realized that this playlist will be a full life experience.

 

I was eagerly awaiting this followup.

 

I don't want to knock anyone else's playlist, because everyone so far has a great playlist, but I've really enjoyed spending the afternoon with Live Just Like Johnny Average. It would be too much to say that it's keeping me from getting work done, because I haven't made any real effort to get work done, but I really haven't got any work done since I started listening.

 

I'm enjoying the jazz much more than I expected. Will be listening to more.

 

Please give us 3 days rather than 2 for this one. It's complex stuff.

 

I’d say the albums any of the tracks you like come from are a good place to listen to some more material in that style (and from there it gets complicated, naturally; I think there’s something to be said for just winging it or hitting the “Make Radio” option), with the exception of Pharoah, you’re better off with Thembi or Africa for a good sampler. “Went Like It Came” fit the mood, but Village of the Pharoahs is kind of weak overall. Of course, he’s not terribly well represented on Spotify, the lack of material from the late 70s and the 80s-*gets tackled*

Makes sense but now I'm tempted to just put songs on my list that are over 12 minutes.

 

I'm almost wishing I had left Miles Davis' "Zimbabwe" on anything other than the 5 hour draft.

The last time I heard that Alan Parsons Project track was around the time Ramza was born.

 

Went with Manteca, though You're a Good Man Albert Brown was a close second.

So what are people's big surprises so far, pleasant or otherwise? I am happy Ramza likes jazz, I didn't know that. Growing up in Kansas City I was definitely around it a lot.
