ST The Knights of Ren in Episode 9

I kind of think the Knights of Ren may turn out to be the collective Sifo Dyas of this trilogy.

 

I hope they show up and have even more of a than the Praetorian Guards had considering Ren I’d now leading the FO and he can’t trust anyone around him. Maybe he’s promoted one to be his personal apprentice, preferably a girl. I think the question regarding how Luke couldn’t see he had other students turning could be easily explained. One he was very focused and worried about Ben. But also what I think would really justify his being blind is that they could have Luke juggling his Jedi Order with being a husband and father. Teaching is hard enough to keep track but add those factors in I could see why he was so surprised he had several of his students go dark. It won’t happen but as a teacher myself who works with people who have kids I could see that justifying it but it won’t happen that way. Either way the KOR need to be in IX big time.

It was reported in The Last Jedi Souvenir Guide Official Collectors Edition that Snoke trained another apprentice. Did Kylo kill that apprentice to become the Leader of the KOR? Or is he out there lurking around. Maybe he's on a Mission for Snoke & comes back pissed that the Supreme Leader is dead.

 

Is it possible the other apprentice was palpatine

 

No, it's still canon that Darth Plagueis was Sidious's master.

 

I don't think they're the same person, but I suppose that Episode 9 could say otherwise.

I listened to the Empire podcast interview with Rian. Basically there simply was no place for the KoR. Maybe they could have replaced the Pretorian Guards, but then they'd have been all slaughtered pretty quickly. Not complicated.

As for Snoke, he doesn't have a backstory in Rian's mind. He can be Plagueis if you want, but there isn't an objective answer. He will be whoever he is written as in some future story.
Ruan couldn't grind the scene to a halt with exposition that most people just don't care about. Rey would just shrug. It wasn't the moment for a history lesson.

 

Since they're Luke's fallen students I'd love for some of them to be one of Luke's students from legends such as Kyp Duran, Kyle Katran, Corran Horn or Mara Jade.

 

Do you think any of them will turn back to the light and align with Rey? It would even the fight a bit. Rey could never take out all 6 or however many there are alone

 

Imo The KOR seem like wasted potential.. I don't expect to see them in IX.

Essentially this may happen. Maybe Rey has trained some Jedi if there is a time gap. Kylo vs Rey. KOR vs her students. Maybe Finn, Poe, and Rose also take up weapons against the KOR?? In the ST...anything is possible I guess. Maybe BB8 has some coins left in his ball to shoot at them. So far I can't take the KOR really seriously as they just aren't important. If the filmmakers really dont know what to do with them 2 movies in...why should I care?

 

And 2 of those minutes will make it to the trailers

 

Could have had them fight the guards and have a couple die revealing Snoke's guards are that good?!

 

I just assumed that Ben betrayed and killed them all when he had no further use for them. Or they all turned on each other as is the way of the dark side.

 

How about instead of saying "there was no room for them" in your movie, you start your story on the premise of the previous film, and include the necessary elements that should be there, rather than create your own separate story from scratch and then make excuses for why important elements are missing?

 

Star Wars has always had problems with spoiler trailers.

 

Episode 9 opens with Snokes other Apprentice returning with his own Darkside Army chasing the KoR from the Outer Rim. Heading toward The 1st Order to challenge Kylo for leadership. vs.

 

Kylo will do what he did to Snoke.
