The Kyle Katarn Facts thread.

Sales of the following video games, Dark Forces, Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Mysteries of Sith, Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy were dealt a fatal blow when they were all recalled after every single purchaser died immediately after they switched the game on.

Nobody plays Kyle Katarn and lives...

When Kyle Katarn grants clemency, that just means he kills you quickly.

 

In Jedi Academy Jaden calls Kyle "Master Katarn", and he immediately tells Jaden to only call him Kyle. The reason for this is that by calling him Master, it places him on the same level as the other Jedi. We all know there is no one on the same level as Kyle.

 

Kyle Katarn can wear corduroy pants and not make that"zwif zwif"sound when he walks

 

Adding to the cordury pants, velcro is afraid to make the velcro sound in Kyle's presence.

 

He could stand in plain sight and no one would find him. No one wants to find Kyle Katarn waiting for them.

 

Kyle Katarn is one of the few people who ever mocks Luke for being too Jedi-serious.

I mean of course in JK3:JA where he responds to Luke's "I feel a disturbance in the Force" with "You ALWAYS feel a disturbance in the Force."

That line made him the best EU character ever. It's also the best cutscene in any SW game ever.

Kyle Katarn IS the source of all disturbances in the Force. Thus he means, you always feel a disturbance in the Force around Katarn. It comes from jumpstarting your survival instinct.

 

Kyle Katarn breeds voxyn and keeps a few of them as pets. He hunts the rest of them for morning exercise.
