Just anedoctally; im a liberal progresive 40 yo who grew up on the OT (to the point that it fueled my career) disliked the PT, altho it has a great story and world building. Never got into the legends stuff at all (seemed uncreative and largely deriverative of the movies). Liked TFA and Rogue One a lot. I think you probably know my stance on TLJ by now

So as a baseline when it comes to compiling the numbers those that say they only liked one out of three prequel movies will be counted as not liking the prequels.

I hope everyone agrees with that.

Environmentally conscious, love strong female characters etc. I don't identify with any of the backlash reasons promoted online besides the tragic and terrible character assassination of Luke Skywalker and storyline!

    1) Did you like TLJ?
    Loved it.

    2) Age?
    37.

    3) Gender?
    Male.

    4) Race?
    White.

    5) Highest level of education?
MBA. Though I also studied film earlier and wrote some treatments in my twenties for production companies and was a script consultant briefly a long time ago.

    6) Country/state?
    Canada / Ontario

    7) Did you enjoy the pre-quels?
ROTS made the effort more worthwhile for me. I do enjoy ROTS more than just about anyone I know in real life offline. However, I do see 2 of the other 3 Prequels to be well below the rest of SW, including all of the new content, in all aspects that matter to me. So, for the purposes of this question to be reflective... even though a bad Star Wars film is still a better time for me than many other blockbuster offerings... I’d have to say that I did not. Relative to every other major film release, including RO (which in some ways feels like a strong prequel!)

    8) Favorite star wars movie? (not including TLJ)
    TESB.

    9) Least favorite star warsmovie? (Not including TLJ)
    AOTC.

For what it’s worth, I think the most telling question isn’t favorite or least favorite but rather a person’s 3rd and 4th favorite SW film. Tell me anyone’s 3rd and 4th favorite SW film and I can more often than not guess their entire ranking. Or, if not that, at least their tiers. 4th favorite forces someone to prioritize what they value within an entry they consider to be perhaps less than perfect and that’s the most telling thing of all.

TESB and AOTC high and low line up for a lot of people so the real interesting rankings tend to occur closer to the middle.

For me the most interesting part of the ranking is the hierarchy of TFA, RO and ROTJ, because they are good for very different reasons IMO.

I've always felt a certain empathy for those who loved TFA the most. Especially if they were then disappointed by TLJ. I don't know why hahah. I don't think it's rational.
