Last of Us is still the best story driven game out there. Nothing beats it. Cant wait for the live action tv show. Love both games. Replaying the okd Last of part l.
That looks way authentic to the source. Look at that them Clicker! Same sound too, probably just were able to reuse the audio asset from the games really.
I had forgotten how visceral an experience playing this series is. Like logically I understand I’m in my house and not literally in a collapsed building with dozens of creatures that want to rip my flesh apart but my mind still rebels against the thought of jumping down into that room full of Clickers.
Yeah it's the most psychologically tense gaming experience ever..moreso than just horror games. Because there's also horrible mental anguish.
I have yet to play TLOU2. I assume the series would cover the events of the original game; at least the first season. I don't plan on buying the new remastered/remake version for the PS5 of the original, but I'll likely replay the PS4 version before jumping into TLOU2.
The only quote I've seen about how much the game it would cover is from awhile ago when they said S1 would be all of the first game. I mean it has such a gut-punch fantastic ending I don't know why they would hang that on a hypothetical season 2. get to the good stuff by 10 episodes. also a lot of stuff in that trailer looks like stuff from the first half of the game although some winter-setting hugs could be from the 2nd half of the game I've always said if they split it it can be at the winter section. But yah I think they'll do all of the first game in S1 seems the most likely.
The trailer had some clips from the Last of US DLC with Ellie and her pal in there too so that'll be flashbacks. If they're forward thinking they took a few days to film the Last of Us 2 flashbacks with Ellie and Joel.
I'm still wondering if it only follows the story through the end of the original game; and not Part 2. I haven't played the sequel yet.
I can't even suggest the game is on my "backlog" since I haven't bought it yet. I'm working on Arkham Knight, which tbh is more of a chore than anything else. I was contemplating going back to the original TLOU game (PS4 version only) and replaying it on the easiest mode just to refresh my mind on the story, and then jumping into the sequel game.
ahsoka, you can play the harley story dlc without playing through the main game. it serves as a prequel to arkham knight, is entirely free-standing as a story.
I personally would just watch a recap of part 1 before the show comes out. The first season will almost certainly simply follow part 1 by all indications. My guess is part 2 would be a second or even third season adaptation, without giving away spoilers.
I believe clips covering scenes from Left Behind have been shown in trailers, and Riley's actor's been announced, so it seems they will indeed adapt Left Behind. It will probably slot in during the Winter chapter, as the 'front story' part takes place then.
