Amph [The Last Ship] The Solojones Show

They have a great looking German Shepherd on the show. Maybe he won't serve much function but who cares as a German Shepherd owner for 17 years they are close to my heart.

 

I am constantly pitching story arcs for Halsey (the dog) by the way. I think he should have his own web series.

Season finale tonight. Season Two production office opens tomorrow.

 

Interesting place to end it without foreknowledge of a second season.

 

The last 3-episodes, particularly the misdirection in the season-finale concerning the villanious elements, saved the season for me. I was also happy to see Bill Smitrovich show up as Chandler's father... he's one of my favorite character actors.


And the using the L.A. Sports Arena as "Olimpia" in the finale was nice, too.

 

Really? Misdirection? Do you not watch TV?

I mean, I appreciate that they went Full Soylent Green as well as a jingoistic show once again proving that the worst evil in humanity is the United Stats government and rich people but... that was about as predictable as Dingo not tanning.

 

I suppose... shut up.

 

solojones was that the same place where Dexter found the dead guy in the hockey goal?

 

It was the LA Sports Arena. I'm not sure where Dexter shot that scene, but that seems the likely culprit.

It's on my DVR, but other shows have priority (Ballers & True Detective).

Hey, to be fair I'm more interested in Solojones' possible hardcore sales pitch.

 

Did anyone else watch last week? I'm kind of surprised the whole Granderson is the evil "empress" of Baltimore wasn't stretched out for a few more episodes.

 

I did, it was..... alright. I wouldn't say that this show is great by any stretch, but it is at times entertaining. I'm not really surprised that Granderson met her end that quickly. They only have 13 episodes on the season, and two of those (and another for last season's finale for a total of three) went to telling her arc.

 

The show seems better this season already.

 

Is it better because you're not watching it?

 

Nah I was just throwing a Hail Mary troll.
Expected sj to come in and say she didn't work on season 2. Which would assist in delivering my troll punchline.

 

I did work on season two. I do think it's better than season one, but that doesn't mean it's great. Based on the ratings drop, I'm not sure they'll be a season three. Anyway, I'm already working on something new.
