The Lucasfilm 16 Year Cycle Continues...

As everyone knows, there was a 16 year wait between Star Wars films (1983-1999). Now that Indy IV seems to be officially targeted for summer 2005, there will be a 16 year lapse between Indiana Jones films as well (1989-2005).

An amazing coincidence, or a terrible omen?

Interesting. It just goes to prove how into symbolism GL is.

 

It doesn't prove anything. What if the movie had been done a few years ago, when M Night Shymalan was asked to write it, or even before that. What if for some reason it's postponed (unlikely though). No more 16 year cycle. It's just a coincidence. Sheeeez ;-).

 

I think GL is just lazy!

I doubt Lucas is lazy when it comes to IJ4. He wanted to do it but there were the SW prequel trilogy films that had to be made.

 

Its been over 16 years since Lucas made American Graffeti and Howard the Duck and he hasnt made sequels to them yet so maybe it doesnt have anything to do with symbolism.............

 

You guys need to learn the definition of "symbolism".

By the way...Where is my Howard the Duck sequel? Damn you George for raping my adulthood now too!

LOL, it hasn't even begun filming and you want a trailer?!?!?

I would at least wait until mid or late 2004 to see any trailers.

 

After episode 3 we can look foward to episodes 7,8,9 in 2021,2024 and 2027!
