I guess the Astros are monitoring Yordan Alvarez since he's not playing this pseudo tie breaker from the previous series. Pena as well for that matter. 2-1 hoping for an exciting late game again.

 

That has my vote for depressing homer call of the year.

 

I consider it "lucky" that Alvarez wasn't in the starting lineup tonight against the Yankees. If he was a Yankee and got the wind knocked out of him by a collision, you know as well as I do that Boone would likely keep him out of the lineup for up to five days; maybe a week. I'd put money down that Baker has both Pena and Alvarez in their lineup by the weekend.

poodoo. Well silver linings the Yankees pitching held the Astros to 2 runs but even that was without Alvarez. Looking forward to October.

 

This whole story is crazy. I find it incredibly unlikely there was a final offer his agent didn't tell him about, but even without that part, it's still insane. It sure seems like it might be an awkward 6 years in LA.

I legitimately forgot those Mets away jerseys existed. Nobody wears them. Maybe they don't even make them anymore. Plenty of people wear the home throwbacks with the stripes but I can't remember a single time seeing somebody wearing that in my lifetime.

 

How often would you see the away jerseys worn from any team by a fan? Aren't they usually home jerseys?

Plenty of fans wear their team's alternate jerseys, which I'm pretty sure are meant for away games. I guess people don't want to wear grey. Understandable.

 

IMO it's kind of boring. I guess it makes sense if you're traveling with the team to wear a road jersey; though I know for a fact my brother's gone to plenty of road games with the Mets (including their SoCal trip a few weeks ago) and he'd always where the Mets home jersey to a game. I think he owns the black one.
