The Mandalorian The Mandalorian 2.06 - Chapter 14 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

In Alita?

 

From Trask to Concord Dawn, starring Danny Trejo as Frogg the bounty hunter. We saw how quickly the frog baby developed between the beginning and end of Chapter 11. Now, he's a fully grown frog man, hunting down the darksaber, in order to recapture the throne of Mandalore (his mom, frog lady, was "The Heiress", not Bo Katan). He's joined by Salamander Ha-Yekface.

 

I could see this being an episode where we go to Tython, make it to the Seeing Stone, Grogu reaches out - but Gideon finds them and uses his Dark Troopers to capture Grogu. Then we're set up for a high-stakes two-part finale in which Mando enlists the help of Bo-Katan (who agrees because she wants the Darksaber) to get our little green friend back.

 

And...Grogu did reach out to a Jedi who unbeknownst to everybody...comes in the finale to help save the day.

 

Not long now.

 

I'm in the middle of watching 11-13 back to back in readiness.

 

Another 12 hours for me. I'm working.

 

I would be on board with Din taking down The Fett who probably is one of my least liked star war figures. Its hard to say but with Rodriguez I see a very fast moving action episode.

WHAT THE HEY! No joke, that was epic and amazing and sad all rolled into one! That is the best one yet...easily.

 

Wow! No spoilers. But wow!

 

This season continues to deliver.

 

It's a crying a** shame that Jon Favraeu and Dave Filoni are in charge of this show...



When they clearly should be in charge of the entire universe instead.

 

some initial thoughts.

To see Boba don his armor again was amazing. Loved the references to Jengo.

The child taking out the storm troopers was pretty killer at the end. This certainly wasn’t filler.

 

Well those troopers weren't what I was expecting but wow that was amazing!

So who will the 7 heroes be?

 

That episode answered a whole lot of questions, and opened up a lot of possibilities where this could all go.

 

Watching this show is like having a Star Wars fantasy orgasm. I mean....

For years I have wanted a trajectory where Boba Fett returned to something like his original story where he is more a traditionalist-authoritarian with a harsh sense of justice than an evil dude. Tonight part of that hope became true. Thanks F&F! I have waited 40 years for this......

I really like making accurate predictions.

I am still processing the episode. So little happened, and yet SO MUCH happened.

In the meantime, Boba Fett has been kind of a joke for 40 years, and Favreau and Filoni completely made him in 5 minutes a badass character that was somehow even more badass without his armor, and now I just want to see more and more of him. This show is so freaking good.

 

Second best episode of the series I somehow predicted Grogu being captured.

Dont like then bringing back Fennick Shan thought excited that Boba Fett will be in the final team up.Wonder if he will die and Mando will take the Slave 1?All I know is that the finale will be great.Possibke that the season ends with whoever arriving on Tython all confused that nobody is there.

It's going to take a whole season of filler side-quests to fix up the Razor's Crest this time.

"Are there are any controls to this"... That's not how it works, Din.

Din caught between proud papa but you can tell, he really doesn't want to let Grogu go.

More loregasms - Boba, Dark Troopers - they're really throwing everything in the box this season.

That concept art with the DT's and Grogu is hysterical.

Looks like setting up for another team up - Boba, Cara Dune. Throw in Bo-Katan, and hell, they could use the nice lady Ahsoka too. She and Boba have some antagonistic history which could add some fireworks within the team.

And the big question as what happened on the Seeing Stone is still on the table.

When I thought about what the movies would be like after ROTJ, The Mandalorian is what I dreamed of, unlike other content that has been released. However as Forest Gump says, "That's all I have to say about that."
