And I LOVED Boba's new and improved look!

This was a thrill ride. I am amped for the season finale!

 

Loved that they showed Mayfelds good side

 

I’m on mobile. So I can’t go super heavy on detail but the show is mostly just go to this planet get a thing or do a thing to do another thing. No real Gideon. The most plot we get takes place in ep 3, ep 5, and then the upcoming finale. Super light on character development until this episode specifically. Gideon isn’t even a real character still as we’ve really spent no time with him this season. It’s a mission of the week series. And that’s fine. But it’s hard to argue this season specifically hasn’t been superbly light on story development in my opinion. I enjoy it nonetheless but I can’t deny I wish the whole series was 8 episodes of stuff like episodes 3 and 5 of this second season.

 

Watching the Truck chase scene and I found myself a bit bored. The action was very samey plus the it felt they used the exact same extras for the Pirates so it seemed like Mando kills them then they came back to life for him to kill them again
And how many of those Pirates were there ?

And why couldn't Boba go with Mayfield. He's not wanted by the Empire and did work for them.

Pedro Pascal (no helmet) and Bill Burr saved this episode for me.

 

Am I the only one who loves how cool the restored Boba armor looks?

As Boba says, they might recognise his face. Boba should look like an impossibly young clone right now.

 

I thought it was fun.

Plot still doesn’t need Boba, but at least they make Slave 1 flying about fun.

Grogu should have had a scene.

Great visuals in this. Great use of vehicles like the Juggernaught. Pirates were a bit lackluster. Ewoks: Battle For Endor gang would have looked way cooler, way more individual.

Glad Pedro is going towards his Red Viper look.

How did it work with scanning Din's face? If he wasn't imperial, that shouldn't have worked right?

 

They must be saving Boba for the finale because if not there was really no reason to bring him back other than fan service (which is fine). Also the lack of Moff Gideon this season has been very unfortunate. It hard to take him serious as a threat when he’s barely present and got beat in S1.

 

So what if they recognise his face. He works for the Empire ! Why should he look young ?

 

He's a Bounty Hunter, and a very well known one at that. Would it not raise quite a few suspicions if a famous mercenary who's been presumed dead for five years just wandered into your top-secret refinery pretending to be Carl the Delivery Boy?

 

Is there an interview with Temuera about being Boba again? I'd love to hear what he has to say.

You were rooting for the stormtroopers? I wasn’t. It was just an uncomfortable moment where the stormtroopers cheer on other troopers that won a confrontation with the native people they’re suppressing for their fascist project. And it just happens that those troopers were our heroes in disguise. If you were actually tricked into rooting for them, though, then the filmmaker did a great job of immersing you in the story. And he did. Because he’s Rick Famuyiwa, and he’s the best.

 

So what he's a Bounty Hunter he doesn't just work for them. Hell if you really want he could even say he was recovering during those 5 years. This plot is just nonsense that makes no sense

 

Yeah what was that about? why did the terminal authenticate him,I thought for a second he had an imperial past or something since last season Moff Gideon said something to the effect of "Decommisioned blabla Din djarin",but then again how would he get his face scanned if he never removed the helmet.

 

...yeah. That's the point. He doesn't just work for them. So it would be really suspicious if he, a really well known guy, walked in undercover.

 

He doesn't need to walk in under cover that's the point

 

Dude.

He can't just walk into a secret Imperial facility, say "Hey guys I'm Boba Fett what's up" and get away with it. And you said the plot in the episode is nonsensical? C'mon.
