Cool. However I'll wait to start getting Mandalorian comics once the series is over and they are able to start telling new stories.

I was really excited when I saw that we were getting a Mando comic.
Then I saw that it was an adaptation, and that excitement went away. It's just... why?

Just give us some stand alone bounty hunting adventures from Din's past. That won't interfere with the show's story.

But I guess that means not having Grogu, and we can't have that...

Yeah I don't think will get anything until the show is over

I mean, I guess this is potentially a nice way for someone who doesn't have/want Disney+ to catch up on the story.

But now that I think of it like that the cynical side of me just sees it as a commercial to entice people to Disney+. "Look at what you're missing!"

Hopefully they'll do something with this to help it stand out from the show.

Adaptations are fun to read just to see how they interpret it, although it seems a bit like 8 issues = each issue adaptation of a single episode. It'll be fun if they move around where they put the breaks and if they put the cliffhangers in different spots. Like the AT-AT pirate walker showing up can be an issue #2 ciffhanger or stuff like that.

Still wondering where the hell the TROS adaptation is though.

I bet it's completely the same but eh I'll grab it for the timeline.

Or maybe just leave it at the Mandalorian YA novel, which works.

The description for this issue is... not exactly overflowing with abundant detail. But then again, it's not like it needs to be?

Y'know one thing this adaptation is doing well is translating just how much visual dialogue there is between a lot of the characters. Little things Georges Jeanty does with how Din is shown panel to panel, and that was compounded in the latest issue with how well he captured the culty feel of the Mandos in the covert. Also goes for the complexity of Greef, and how his facial expressions can say so much more than his words.
