The Mandalorian Official "The Mandalorian" Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

All this talk about Bo Katan's age just reminds me how furious I was at Rebels doing such a lazy (19 years isn't long enough to age significantly) job with her redsign.

 

I have a hard time believing they wouldn't be tempted to bring in one or two things from the films in the odd episode or final

 

Well somebody will say, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this”. Does that count?

No one was kind to the recast of Han Solo? Seems like a bit of an exaggeration. There were lots of people here, for example, who liked him right away and gave him a shot. And he delivered big time, IMO.

I’m all for a recast Luke too. Why not? These are characters. Let them be interpreted by different actors.

 

No one was kind to the idea of recasting Han Solo. that seemed to be the biggest issue in them making a Han Solo movie for alot of people, that it wasn't Harrison Ford playing the role.

 

A lot of people, perhaps. But I was certainly perfectly fine with the idea. Underworld stories with Han during the dark times? Sounded great to me from the start.

 

I would rather it be Katee since she does the voice. Do her hair and put in green contacts.

 

Bo-Katan would probably be older at this point though way older. So if she appeared in this show it would either be a recast or aged up in makeup or if they can use it for a TV show the de-aging technology that Marvel uses.

It might just be me and a very bad memory, but that alien almost looks like one of the many aliens that were seen in the Canto Bight casino.

The features on the creature look a little familiar. But it could just be me and a bad memory.

Perhaps he’s playing an Imperial scientist on the run with The Mandalorian chasing after him? With Bossk, Dengar and IG-88 showing up as rivals after the bounty?

She played one of the main characters in the Battlestar Galactica remake series and she was pretty good. I wouldn't mind her playing live action Bo-Katan, as long as somebody on the show mentions how Bo participated in little bit of ethnic cleansing in her younger days

 

Somehow from what we have seen so far this series gets way more interesting than Ep9 for me.
I really like it!

 

I have a feeling this show will be like Deadwood meets The Sopranos in space.

 

I like to think that The Mandalorian main character is the son/daughter of Bo-Katan

Funny you should say that. A little over a year ago (before TLJ came out) one of the JCF members shared a fanfic of his with me involving the lineage of a certain character since it's still been up in the air.

If I could remember the member's name I'd give him credit; but it was an interesting story that takes first takes place on Tattooine, where Obi-Wan meets Bo-Katan as she's been on the run. He helps her out, one thing leads to another; and they're a thing for awhile. Bo has a child (that Kenobi would never know about), and being a Force Sensitive one, the child is chased and ultimately captured by the Inquisitors. Eventually she (it was a girl) is sent on a mission to go after Luke Skywalker....(you can probably guess where this leads).
