I think you're right if we're talking about a full trailer... I was thinking just a quick teaser, to be followed by that trailer later in the summer.

Have you read the Kenobi novel? Not that it matters much relative to the possibility of a Kenobi film, but still.

And I am very much hoping for a teaser/trailer at celebration, ugnaughts and Mando’a and all.

With Disney officially announcing they've finished Principle Photography, I'm even more positive than ever that they'll have a trailer ready for Chicago in 6 weeks.

 

Too bad. No guarantee then.

 

I've been saying this for months....

 

All I want from this show is the feel and aesthetic of the OT back. Nothing since ROTJ has captured it besides RO. No gags either - Situational humor seems to work best in SW (for me at least)

The ST has been a fine effort but as many fist pumps I produce there are quite a few face palms haha
The PT I watched with one hand over my face peeking through my fingers whilst sinking in my chair haha
Solo I am indifferent about... But I appreciate the effort.

 

I’m hoping for a more OT/ RO approach to the cinematography, too. Less zoomy and cartoony, and more classic. With some modern elements thrown in, such as RO did on Jedha in particular.

On the topic of classic-looking space suits, Bo Shek should have a role in The Mandalorian.

 

In which era, or timeline this show does take place? PT or ST?

It will be interesting to see the post-RotJ era.

 

Seven years after Battle of Yavin, three years after ROTJ.
Is that right? I've also read three reports of it being seven years after ROTJ.
I'm inclined to say it's three after ROTJ.

 

Yeah, it says 3 years after RotJ. Very interesting. I wonder how they will be close to the main characters from OT, considering it's a live action series not an animation, it will be hard to use the old crew in here.

 

I think it's safe to say that we will see a good number of non-human characters from the old movies. Or characters with helmets.

They don't need to de-age Harrison Ford to feed our nostalgia.

 

The only characters from the OT era rumoured to be appearing are all secondary - Bossk, IG-88, R5-D4, Jawas, etc. I do have a feeling that there maybe appearances from the EU, primarily the animations.

 

It would be great to see some characters from Rebels, Thrawn, Ezra, Ahsoka, Bo-Katarn especially Sabine since she is a Mandalorian too.

 

If they even THINK of re-casting Yakface, I'll boycott.
