Wasn't there a statement somewhere that it is not IG-88?
I thought I have read a different name.

 

There was something I think but I don't think anything official to refute that's it's one and the same. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

 

Only that aphorism has been proven wrong a number of times in the Disney SW era, starting with the widespread belief that Jakku was Tatooine.

 

I wouldn't mind one more teaser pic by Favreau but I'm sure these next 4 weeks will blow by quick.

 

I wonder why a Mando panel hasn't been announced yet? I'm starting to worry....

Probably because Favreau is a super busy guy, I think we'll get a trailer or teaser of sorts, probably a toy or two and some art work.

 

Maybe they just don't want to talk too much yet. Waiting for the big Disney+ launch.... D23 in August? (I hope I'm completely wrong)

If so, putting static props such as the IG-88 out on display would be less cool, but still cool.

 

Interesting to hear that Oscar Isaac convinced Pedro Pascal to be the Mandalorian!

One might think they had to promote Disney+

 

I'm sure we'll get something. Between Clone Wars season 8, The Mandalorian, and the Andor series, there's just too much stuff to not get anything.

 

This is probably what will happen. Just enough to get us excited about the show.

 

Yea, Lion King is gonna be a pretty big deal for him, but I can see him being on a panel for a little bit and then Filoni, Pascal, etc. can take over from there.

 

I'm shocked no Mando panel. Absolutely shocked.

It's a short series as far as we know. They don't really need a panel. There will undoubtedly be a more in depth look, maybe a trailer.

 

I wouldn't worry too much. I would be staggered if The Mandalorian doesn't have a presence at Celebration.

 

Short series or not, it's run time is longer than that of a movie. This is the first live action SW series, it will spearhead LFL's output on the streaming service, it has big names in the cast and crew and cost a fair bit to make. It's certainly far more deserving of a panel than the cartoons.

It's certainly going to be an interesting panel to watch to see what this will actually be like. I would expect a trailer to definitely be there, but I wonder if we'll get a preview of an episode as well?
