The Monster Challenge ​

What, that rustling sound? It's just the wind rattling through the trees. Probably.

I am a great big scaredy cat, which for me somehow means that I LOVE tales of dangerous, eerie, inexplicable, and just plain weird creatures. So, here we go!

This challenge will include prompts related to all sorts of things that hide in the shadows... just behind you.

Rules

1. This is a non-competitive challenge with no deadline. Stories from the Non Star Wars Fan Fiction forum are welcome as well!

2. Pick a number from 1-25, and the prompt will be sent to you by PM.

3. Each prompt will have a keyword and description for a trait that a monster might have. For example, an unused prompt was:

Other Notes

Challenge entries are not required to follow the prompt word closely, nor are they held to the description. If you want to just work the one keyword into your story somehow, that is fine too!

Creating your own monsters or expanding on ones from canon (for example: the wampa is a monster "from a certain point of view", and so is Palpatine for that matter ) are both encouraged here! Ghosts, droids, and other kinds of beings/inventions can count too, of course.

The story also doesn’t have to have any kind of actual monster in it. Metaphorical references, using the word or description as a springboard for something completely different -- whatever works is fine.

There is also no genre requirement. Even though the basis for this challenge is monster-themed, there does not have to be any horror or creepiness if that’s not your cup of tea. Humor and fluff are just as welcome.
