You know, the franchise has been leaning on that song waaaay too much these past few years, but that's a great performance.

I also assume that's Matt Vogel singing, and that it's not a Henson or Whitmire 'lip' synch.

Whitmire was Fired and from What I heard even Jim Henson's Kids agreed with the firing. Jims kids said Whitmire thought Whitmire and only Whitmire could do the Voice and Whitmire claimed Jim Henson wanted Steve to be his successor when he died and Jim Henson's daughter said that was totally not true Jim never gave him the Job Jims Daughter actually called Whitmire a Liar. From Disney Executives to Jim Henson's kids all said Whitmire was holding Productions back because he would refuse to do a movie or TV show because according to Whitmire It didn't fit with the Muppets way. I tend to agree with Henson's kids Jim Henson was a good man the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

I mean, Ed Harris would have to be Kermit, wouldn't he? He's in charge of the show.

Star Wars: A New Hope, keeping Peter Cushing as Tarkin. Statler and Waldorf would be perfect for the Conference Room scene on the Death Star. :D

I have a kid. So I was signing up for Disney+ regardless. This helps give me some more content I like.

Having it be a period series is interesting- though I disagree with the notion that setting Muppets modern day is a problem. The recent series didn';t have a problem with setting, it had a problem with a bumpy first half and some controversial decisions that were eventually ironed out (but by then it was too late). The characters were all given updated roles in some rather clever ways that still fit in a modern context.

Oh, that is outstanding. Probably my second favorite Henson work after Labyrinth.

    From that link:

“Part of what fascinates me about The Storyteller is the stuff that we don’t know.,” he said. “Who was the Storyteller, why was he telling these stories, was he a goblin, what kind of creature? What I’d love to do is an inside story that’s as long as the outside story. We’re going to find out a lot about who the storyteller is, we’re going to find out things we don’t even know that we don’t know. We’re going to begin in a Northern kingdom where stories are forbidden and where the act of telling a story is liable and can get you imprisoned or executed. If you put a storyteller into that situation, things would need to start getting interactive.”

I never even knew Henson's daughter was involved with the company the way his son had been.
