I might be able to explain it. It's the fact that once you start reading this story, the plot, characters and action just pull you in and keep you reading until you glance up at the clock and it's 2 a.m. (And you started reading at 10 p.m. the night before.) Honestly, this read like a professionally published novel.

Intriguing characters, plot twists that kept me guessing until the final climax, a great premise (really, who doesn't like pirate treasure hunts?) and a good mix of action and introspection. Ezgi is both tough and compassionate, Gestas is mysterious enough to keep the reader guessing, and even the background characters are developed enough to seem like real people.
