Challenge The *NEW* First Sentence Challenge -- New Sentence 10/07/09

At the risk of total and complete embarrassment I present potentially one of the shortest responses yet:



?Is that a lightsaber in you pocket?or are you just happy to see me??

If there was anything to lift Obi-Wan?s spirits after dying on the Death Star, it was this greeting from Siri in the netherworld of the Force.

His eyes followed hers ? and he gulped. Where was a good cloak when he needed one.

On the other hand ? things were really looking up after nineteen lonely years. He should have died years ago.

I've been away for a couple of months and this sentence seemed to be the perfect execize to aid my return.

Not ready to remember MMM and first sentence is a vignette for two challenges, this and MMM.

I have taken The best time for luck to show up is when all hope is lost.

 

I chose this sentence in honor of my cat Tigger. This is the stupid animal that disappeared on us a few weeks ago for an entire week. A week I spent in misery as my wife wasn't happy. This week included me walking the neighborhood nightly, as well as traipsing through the woods just north of our subdivision (where I managed to twist my ankle). Anyways, she's home now, but I've got to say that:

Little fuzzy animals bother me.

Ok, so this vig opens with a sentence from a previous years challenge, but it includes two sentences from the current challege.

As some of you may be aware, I have children. Two of them to be precise--both of them are exuberant bundles of hyperactivity. Save for a few hours which we lovingly call bliss.... err.... nap time. As such, I understand this sentence perfectly.

Our children aren?t sleeping, they?re recharging.

 

That sounds like me. My sentance is "The hyperactive kids were recharging after their rampage of destruction." That'd be a good first sentance.

 

Oh I like it. The muse does too.

I've been having an odd number of dreams lately. Death, destruction, rebirth, those are usual dream fodder for me, but I'm left wondering why I've been getting so many recently. Maybe someone else out there has been having dreams as well, if so, maybe one of those dreams meets up with this sentence, and we can get a nice bunny out of the deal.

There wasn?t a bacta tank in the galaxy that could heal her mind from the terror that haunted her dreams.

Two weeks ago, I was miserable. I all but had pneumonia, and in the midst of that misery I got bit by a spider and either at the doc's office, or somewhere else, managed to get it infected by staph. While it's all cleared up, and I'm once more my chipper self (except on m/w/f mornings when I torture my body at the gym) I was rather miserable during that time. So, in honor of my renewed health, I'm putting up the the following sentence:

Have you ever seen a Wookiee with the Shistavanen flu?

 

This plot bunny, though very, very short, popped in my head for this sentence at first reading:

Forever Seventeen

 

And now it is time, yet again, for a new sentence!! Last week, it was about wookiees with the flu, this time it's about somthing that I manage to acheive too often for my peice of mind.

Being in the wrong place at the wrong time has always been my specialty.

 

I am assuming that the missing word 'place' is just a typo, and I can add it into my entry? Lol, I shall have fun with this one.
