The next great film composer?

    I agree with you on Harry Gregson-Williams, his work in Narnia is wonderful. I adore The Battle with all the counter melodies and movement that is underlining the score. He is fantastic. I like Hans Zimmer he has done some work that is great but I'm not sure epic in nature.
    For me Michael Giacchino has a long way to go. There is some brilliance in some of his work and then some that falls just flat in the repetition without variance or very little in his themes. I don't hear as much depth as I do with other composers of the past.

    I love Michael Giacchino, but I don't know anything whatsoever about music. His stuff on LOST (especially the raft scene) gets me every time.

    I love Michael Giacchino, have you guys heard his, John Carter From Mars Soundtrack it is beautiful, and JCFM Is an underrated film, I greatly enjoyed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yes, I loved the music for Narnia- it was very fitting for the movie and truly captured the spirit of it so very well.
