Ya! It's officially up!
So I had an idea for a challenge thread, and all of the challenges in this thread will revolve around Obi-Wan and Siri!
Siriwaners unite!

The Rules/Notes:
1. Just because your story has to be about Obi-Wan and Siri, it doesn't mean that they have to be in a romantic relationship. They can be friends or they could be working together.
2. They can be any age in your story.
3. Of course, Terms of Service always apply.
4. There will hopefully be a challege every two weeks. Deadlines will be posted with the challenge.
5. You can submit as many entries as you like to one challenge.
6. On the specified date, PM me with your votes. You will get one vote, and those who have not entered the challenge are allowed to vote.
7. Post a link to your story on this thread, and in the author's note write that your story is for the Obi-wan/Siri challenge thread.
8. Have fun!

Challenge Number 1: Obi-wan and Siri are at a New Years Eve party. There, they get into an argument. You can take it from there!
You must include in your story someone who is singing karaoke. You may not use the words "celebrate" or "midnight".
Challenge starts on January 13 and ends at midnight January 27, board time. You have from the 28th to the 31st to vote for your favorite.

Okay, I have to try this. I've never written about Obi-Wan and Siri before, but I really like them together so I'll give it a try. This sounds really fun, and I've already got an idea I can use.

Oh how fun! I am going to have to think of a story.

 

I had such fun doing this challenge! School and RL permitting, I'm going to try to do this challenge every month (or however often it's updated).

I do have a minor suggestion, though. In the other challenge threads I've looked at, when voting for stories, there's usually a rule against voting for your own entries. I almost think it's more fair that way because it encourages people to read other people's stories rather than just voting for themselves because they want to win. I don't have a problem with it either way, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Also, may people who did not enter the challenge vote? (It's probably a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway.)

 

I agree with your suggestion. Hopefully, this will inspire those who enter to read the other entrants work. So, the rules have been edited.
Also, people who have not entered the are allowed to vote. (Sorry I didn't mention that before).

Sadly, I didn't recieve any votes at all for this challenge, so Jaidyn_Knightfall and earlybird-obi-wan will both win this challenge by default. Thanks for entering guys!

Oh, I knew there was something I forgot to do! I completely forgot about the whole challenge. With school starting up again, my brain is practically nonexistent and I tend to live in my own little world. I'll try to remember to vote next time.

I am really going to have to keep an eye on this thread. I can see that it will be thoroughly interesting.

Jaidyn, you have the same problem I do: school. Except I usually manage to ignore it.

 

Challenge #2

Valentine's Day is almost upon us, so here is a new challenge in honor of the holiday!

You can either write a story in which Obi-Wan gives Siri a valentine or Siri gives Obi-Wan a valentine. OR you can write a story in which someone other then Siri/Obi-Wan gives one of them a valentine and either Obi/Siri gets jealous (sorry, it's confusing ) Your story must include a heart shaped cake. You have from February 3rd to February 17th to get in your stories, and then you can vote from February 18th-21st. Have fun!

 

Oh, drat. I probably should have guessed...

I might have to go for the jealous Obi-Wan/Siri. I'm terrible at writing mush.

Or maybe I'll use this as practice... Anyway, I'll give it my best shot! Don't blame me if it comes out strange!

I apologize for not answering your question,Jaidyn. My computer is broken and I've been forced to use the one at the library...
Anyways, you are allowed to submit as many entries as you want to any one challenge. It says so in the rules.

 

That's okay. I understand about broken computers, especially recently. I just wanted to be sure before I accidentally broke a rule. Thank you!
