I have a WIP set in Australia, so I take special note of such phrases when I encounter them.

Yay! Started by entry - The Plate

 

Wonderful! Got it in the index. It’s not inaccurate to list it as “featuring the Family of Scoundrels” or even “featuring members of the Family of Scoundrels,” I hope?

 

Neither one is inaccurate. I mean there does seem like there are hundreds of them now, so featuring members is probably more accurate

Plate is finished. My husband pointed out that if you aren't a native Aussie then it's a pretty hard read, so I'm going to rewrite it (and translate all the Aussie speak) later today and then repost it on the same thread. Hopefully that'll make it easier for people to follow.

Sorry guys, I was just so excited by the concept of being able to write a story in my local lingo, that I forgot how hard and how esoteric it would be to everyone else. Apologies if you attempted it and then just went and noped right out of there.

EDIT: I've put the rewrite here. I would recommend reading that one. I've also taken out all the question marks at the end of the sentences because they were annoying after a while.

Uh, so me again. I will stop spamming this thread...but sudden inspiration struck this afternoon and I came up with something that I like much better than The Plate.

So presenting round 2 - The Rule Maker where four Jedi Masters try to work out the best way to word a rule so that future Jedi could never, possibly misinterpret it.

 

OK, just so I can be clear on exactly what's what here: does The Rule Maker supersede The Plate, or are you entering it in addition to The Plate? Because if the latter, I'd ask you to please choose one of the two to be out of competition. I just don't want to change anything in the index quite yet until I'm 100% clear on the situation. Thanks!
