Super-random, but Australia’s goal just a bit ago was really similar to Arsenal’s title-winning score in 1989 vs. Liverpool. The first half was almost identical, the kick somewhat less so.

 

School might be more useless then yesterday between the fact we are done for the week after today and a lot of us (teachers) have given up and just are streaming it during class as it's also in the library, cafeteria, faculty lounge etc. Even the PE teachers have it up on monitors in the gym as the kids can either watch that or play pick up games of basketball against them. One teacher was kind of mad about it but I told her we need to think about it this way. They are not sitting on their phones for a change and having a true social experience and unlike so many other times classes have stop to watch TV, it's actually for something fun and positive despite all the horrible things going on around it.

I just know France scored even though we are about 30 seconds behind in our feed. Why? Because there is a French language class about 3 doors down from my classroom and it just exploded in cheers.

That was a really dumb penalty for the Japanese goalie to concede, but I can’t fault the result.

Really like how Germany is playing even if there’s a bit of vulnerability to the counter.
