Agreed! Who knows Revan than the guy who helped creat him? Revan is also my favorite and this is one that I may actually buy in hardcover!

 

Is the Next TOR novel be about how Revan destroyed the Emperor?

I hope Drew comes back, he's probably my favorite Star Wars author behind Luceno. Revan and the Darth Bane books are classics I find myself constantly returning to, and I enjoyed Annihilation as well.

 

Did you read his fantasy trilogy?

 

Drew is really not terribly great of a writer I'm sorry to say, at least his game adaptions aren't.

I haven't read the trilogy, myself, but it's bizarrely common for people to exclaim how much they love a particular EU author and ignore that they write books outside of Star Wars, too.

How did you find it, as old school Shannara/Belgariad-style fantasy goes?

It's written for young adults, like you used to be.

 

I agree that Drew is a simplistic writer but one thing he does do well is make you like the bad guy. I mean in the Bane trilogy you get really attached to Bane and Zannah and actually like them and feel for them. Granted he's not as in depth a writer as Luceno (few are) he does usually tell an enjoyable story. I wonder if he is still tied to any Star Wars novels or games coming up. How are his fantasy novels?

Karpyshyn is my favourite author, I usually do not read outside of Star Wars and a select other few series I am into, but I would be interested in checking out more of his work. What are some good recommendations?
