I vaguely remember either "Lost Jedi" or "Jedi Dawn" (featuring protagonist Havet Storm) taking place on Yavin 4 as well. Am I off my rocker on this one? If Yavin 4 is featured, then I also don't recall if one of these - Paul Cockburn written, Boxtree published - books deals with the evacutation of Yavin or not.

(Did "Imperial Spy" run in Star Wars Kids Magazine Issues 17-20 before being reprinted in Star Wars Tales???)

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next Guide in the series!

Have to say I really liked the book. Only thing is I wish you could have added a little more info on Maarek Stele (although I'm glad you added some info) I think he is more interesting than Baron Fel IMO. Especially after what I've read about him in Star Wars Gamer #5.

Nope, Ana, you're firmly seated on your rocker. :) The second Cockburn book deals with Boba Fett and Rebels on Yavin, but those Rebels were sent back *after* the evacuation to recover anything useful.

And Imperial Spy hasn't been reprinted in Tales. You're thinking of Death Star Pirates, the story taking place immedately afterwards. It appeared in Tales #8, I belive.

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before in this thread or elsewhere, but I'll ask:

Why does the bio for Palpatine say his eye color is unknown?

In Cloak of Deception it states they are blue (or pale-blue). I know it is written "in universe," but surely someone must know how Palpatine looked before the Dark Side wreaked havoc on his body.

Why doesn't it say his eyes are blue? Because the book sucks. The pictures bite, the bios are half-wrong (it says Jaina Solo is 4'10". What's up with that? Yeah, well TOS sucks, too.), and worst of all, it doesn't include Wes Janson! Insanity!

Sorry for perhaps resurrecting a dead animal, but bringing back the 1000 year Republic thing, I always viewed it like a reformation. My analogy I've always used is like France is now governed over the Third? Republic. New constitution, technically new government.

    Why? Let's see.

Why doesn't it say his eyes are blue? Because the book sucks.

    Woo, deep

    The pictures bite

    Most will disagree here

    the bios are half-wrong

    PPOR

(it says Jaina Solo is 4'10". What's up with that? Yeah, well TOS sucks, too.)

So they both say 4 10? Must be.....correct then :)

and worst of all, it doesn't include Wes Janson! Insanity!

Or maybe it's because his entire story is with Wedge save one or two points? WHy reitterate?

lexu, Jaina is 4'10", and the Janson entry is in the SW Insider #49.

EDIT: Yeah, what Reaper said. ;)

So, while we all discuss the merrits (or lack thereof) of lexu's post, should I just assume no one knows the answer to my question?

Okay, whatever. In that case, here's another one:

The NEGTC says that Gilad Pellaeon was from Corellia. The original guide, however, credited his homeworld as Coruscant. To quote lexu: what's up with that?

I think Mr. Wallace mentioned earlier in the thread that listing Corellia for Pellaeon was just a mistake that wasn't corrected in time for publication.

Also, Janson was edited out for space reasons. His entry, along with Poggle the Lesser's, was an exclusive for Insider magazine. Yet one more reason to buy it. Every SW fan should.

I've got a question: Is Ooryl officially Qrygg, as he was originally, or Qyrgg, as more recent sources say? And what editor let his name officially be changed mid-series like that?

Is Ooryl Qyrgg perhaps related to Chewbacca the Wookie? :p

Good question, though. I've been wondering about it, too.

Dan, if you return, I'd like to ask a previously debated issue on Jerec. You said in his section "Jerec bore Sith tattoos on his face, as Darth Maul had before him, though Palpatine never named Jerec a Sith Lord. Darth Vader already held that title." Does this mean he is a Sith (Acolyte/Knight/etc.), or any kind of Sith at all for that matter? Or is he just a powerful Dark Jedi Master with Sith influences and/or those Sith tattoos that plays the role of a Inquisitor as you said in Palpatine's section?

"The tattoos -- very painful tattoos -- would cover his entire body and become the mark of the Sith."-starwars.com

Plus how else do you think gorc and pic, became the "Brothers of the Sith"?

    and...

    "Galactic Empire
Headed by Emperor Palpatine, the Galactic Empire represents the oppressive remnants of the Old Republic. The Galactic Empire has superior mechanized armies, including the mighty AT-ATs. It also commands legions of ruthless stormtroopers, the faceless enforcers of the Emperor. The Empire even plays host to a contingent of Sith Knights, skilled in the dark side of the Force, who are capable of bending any would-be insurgents to the Empire's cruel will."-galacticbattlegrounds
