Haha, that wasn't even directed at you. It was a reaction to Swash, who was talking about opinions. (Although my post was directed at everyone) It took me a couple of minutes to read the page, and you posted in the meantime, so I hadn't even seen your post at the time I clicked reply, and didn't notice it after I posted either.

I'm not one for trolling, sorry you got caught in the crossfire.

I used to think they were childish, until I got into so many misunderstandings with people that I decided it was a convenient way to indicate when I'm not being entirely serious. Written text has a strange tendency to come off as very serious, because you can't see any facial expressions.

 

I'll use old school text smileys more often from this point on. xD

There has been talk about why these threads are heated and I can explain why:
It is DEFINITELY the show. It couldn't be anything else.

TCW Film: People were half-and-half about the film. After it came out, some reluctantly abandoned the forum since TCW was clearly not for them. Some stayed cuz they liked or they could live with it. It was pretty good.

Season 1: This was a solid season. Alot of people loved it and I loved it too. There were iffy episodes but people were able to get over it. Why? Cuz it seemed like the season had something for everyone.

Season 2: For me this season was half-fantastic and half-aweful. But for most people, they loved it as a whole. There weren't too many issues cuz the fantastic Season 1 carried over with stronger views that everyone could accept. The problem with Season 2.....was the way it ended. The Boba Fett and Zillo Beast episodes really had a negative impact on the boards....

Season 3: The season had a relatively strong start but others would disagree. It was after the first 10 episodes that people started to lose hope in the show. I know I did. Some people said that they liked these hated episodes and so the "heat" started there. Season 3 then changed dramatically when Mortis, the Citadel, and Wookie episodes came in. Things were better for some.....things were worse for others.
To be honest, I lost all hope for TCW after Season 3....

Season 4: This season had very negative expectations. Why? Probably because of the material that TCW team so absently added. Instead of giving the fans what they wanted, TCW team decided to go to Mon Cal, revisit a comic book story, and have more episodes like the widely despised "Evil Plans". Riff Tamson wasn't looking like a great Mascot either.
After the episodes aired, It was clear to most viewers that the stories sucked. Now with the recently released "Shadow Warrior", there is a war going on and I'm apart of it.
Why would I fight online over something so stupid? Oh I don't know....cuz I'm a fan and I think SW deserves better than what Filoni and Lucas can pull out of their butts (or someone else's for that matter).

As for the whole "quick statement" issue. Well, I've taken a side. This is a forum for discussion. Not Facebook. Not your personal Cell Phone conversation. This is also public and is viewed worldwide.
So yeah, take it seriously. Elaboration isn't just necesary....it's essential.
