That's actually awesome that they stuck the landing not only in and of itself, but Musk said a week ago he didn't expect to have a successful landing. =D=

We can reach CRS in approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

FYI, the drone ship the stage lands on is called Of Course I still Love You. (You know, The Culture?)

    Launch Suanday morning

And by morning I mean 1:26 AM. The landing attempt will be via ship because:

Some of these touchdowns have occurred on land, while others employ the drone ship; it depends on the destination of the Falcon 9's payload. (Rockets that blast satellites toward distant orbits cannot carry enough fuel to make it all the way back to the launch pad. JCSAT-16 is headed toward a final orbit that's about 22,300 miles, or 35,800 kilometers, above Earth.)

    A success

So that's 4 out of 5 landings. In the vid int he link after the 32 minute mark they are waiting for the landing, the camera was on then off the pad, then when it comes back on there sits the lander.

Meanwhile they are testing the JCSAT-14 ship like nobody's business. They have done three full duration full power burns so far with more on the way. The goal is at least ten IIRC. Maybe they'll keep going till it breaks / blows up, just to see how far it can be pushed.

Reminds me of films I've seen of the early days of space flight. It's got a real Vanguard 1 quality.
