Looks like Kit's list of required words didn't scare everyone away. I'm looking forward to getting some time this weekend to get some reading in.

Well I'm in. I'll be blown out of the water more likely than not, but I'm in.

Question: Are we allowed to edit our story after we post it, as long as its not to copy off of someone else?

 

Hmmm... I might take up this challenge. 2000 words eh?

 

I've posted mine in Before the Saga.

I was wondering - can we post it in a separate thread? Or do we have to wait until the competition is over?

 

Are we allowed to co-author for fics like this? I'm assuming we are...-- I had an idea for a fic with a co-author for a Saga entry ... definetely not my normal writing forum

 

Okay, I'll try to answer the questions as best I can.

Suzuki Akira - You can edit it until the 21/22 of June when judging starts.

CmdrMitthrawnuruodo - Yes, 2000 words max.

Tekli theInsane - I think traditionally, people wait until after the awards are over before posting their vignette to its own thread.

Layren - I suppose you could co-author it, but only one person would qualify for the prize if it wins. (I think, I'll double check that.)

Yes, you can certainly edit your post after you have posted it. Plagerism will be met with harsh penalties however.

What RRK said. If you co-author you can either share the prize for a shorter period of time or one person can get it. However, I'd prefer that people didn't co-author their fics.

 

Ooh This is going to be fun. I'm looking forward to doing this (when I have free time, which should be next weekend! ) Or when I decide to procrastinate on homework and actually do something fun

I just submitted my Beyond the Saga entry!

Two down, one to go. My personal challenge is to write one for each of the sagas, with all of them being quite different from one another.

So far I have:

Obi-wan's hermitage for The Saga
Queen Mother Tenel Ka for Beyond the Saga

and I am planning on Padme's mom in Before the Saga.

 

Well, I did it.
Managed to toss together some shreds of what I call writing, others may have more colorful words for it, for each time frame.
But the best part has been reading the variety of stories. Being new to all this I am really astounded by all the different takes on what this means and how to work in those key words. All I can say is I am impressed. Well, let me amend that, impressed and pleased as a giddy cat in a sunbeam to be able to be part of it. So to the other writers out there, thanks for the catnip!

Well, I entered my little story. I don't think I've ever posted any fics in The Saga board before.

I'll be travelling and without computer access from the 29th of June to the 29th of July. If I should happen to win something (I know, another big IF here), I'd like to get my prize in August, if it would be possible.

Hi, where would you put an AU story (assuming they are allowed) with characters from EU introduced after the explosion of the second death star, while the story takes place during the period that would correspond with the the time between TPM and RotJ in the real universe, but in a setting most like one before TPM?

A miracle happened! I managed to get a mystery written which conforms to both the "Whodunnit" and the "Challenge" requirements, and it's now in the "Before" thread.

RosyRedFinguredDawn: Post it where the majority of the setting is. As it seems to be pre-TPM by what you've said then I'd put it in the before the saga category.
