Well, instead of asking everyone to read every story like last time, I thought it might be shorter if we divided the stories into smaller groups. Judges are then asked to rejudge the top one or two stories (depending on how many groups there were).

So -

Author 3 - Building Bridges
Author 4 - Building Bridges
Author 5 - Building Bridges
Author 6 - Building Bridges
Author 7 - Building Bridges
Author 8 - Building Bridges

In round one

Judge A and B judge stories from Authors 1, 2, 3 and 4 and give them a tally from 50 each (which is then added together to get a tally from 100).

Author 1 - Building Bridges - 39+37 = 76 *
Author 2 - Building Bridges - 42+30 = 72
Author 3 - Building Bridges - 43+49 = 91 *
Author 4 - Building Bridges - 27+35 = 62

Judge C and D mark stories from Authors 5, 6, 7 and eight and give them a tally from 50 each (which is then added together to get a tally from 100)


Author 5 - Building Bridges - 34+49 = 83
Author 6 - Building Bridges - 39+28 = 67
Author 7 - Building Bridges - 40+45 = 85 *
Author 8 - Building Bridges - 42+49 = 91 *


The judges are then asked to rescore the four stories with the highest scores (1,3, 7 and 8) using the same criteria.

Author 1 - Building Bridges - 35+37+49+34 = 155
Author 3 - Building Bridges - 39+28+43+40 = 150
Author 7 - Building Bridges - 27+32+40+45 = 144
Author 8 - Building Bridges - 42+49+47+45 = 183

Meaning that Author 8 is the winner, Author 1 is second, Author 3, is third and Author 7 is our runner up.

Is that clear? Or have I made it even more confusing.

LOL I know what you mean. I just turned my final scores in myself. Well done EVERYONE. It was very hard to decide. All the stories were very very good.
I was trying to squeeze in time to judge today since I wouldn't have a chance until Tuesday if it didn't get done. I didn't want anyone to expire from the stress of not having their scores so.. mine are in

LOL, and Happy Canada Day to the Northern Neighbors. I haven't forgotten their courage & generosity on 9/11 to all the air travelers who were stuck when the borders closed. The head of my company was en route back from Europe, ended up in Nova Scotia and said people couldn't have been nicer. So here's a toast to everyone up there!

Nope. There are two people that I'm waiting to hear from before The Saga and Beyond the Saga can progress.

Darth Breezy, you'll find the list of names back a page or so with those judges who have submitted their scores in bold.

Layren, maybe you should send it again. I certainly haven't got it.

Gryph and I are still friends, he's down in Sydney though and loving it.

Yeah, I was giving up hope today completely. Ranting and raving and almost in tears because I need to move out of this house NOW and yet it seems almost impossibe to find a place (colds also make life seem worse!). An hour later and two people had rung me and offered me their vacant rooms. Yay! I'm waiting until tomorrow night before I make a decision as I'm waiting to hear back from one more person.

*sigh* It's so nice not to be stressed about the house no more!
