I agree that CBS should give him the experience and get him as comfortable as he can be before the season starts. I know its a one off deal and he probably wont be on the broadcast all weekend but a three-man booth in golf is pretty crowded.

Also, I'm sure it's in connection that the event is in Fort Worth too this weekend.

 

Not sure when this fall from grace will end. 10 years ago, no one would have ever guessed Tiger would be where he's at today.

 

1. I'll go with some new blood, Justin Thomas, who I want to win.
2. I think DJ has the best chance with his distance, since this course is so long. Although we'll see if he falls down any stairs tonight.

Also see if the rain gods work out in Phil's favor tomorrow.

 

Ha, all I'm saying is with his past, something doesn't quite add up there. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin....

Whoa, -7 for Fowler. Good amount of guys in the red with some big names still to tee off.

Looks like Danny Willett is continuing his hangover since the Masters last year.

Abysmal showing by the top 10 in the World Golf Rankings. Rickie, Sergio and Matsuyama the only ones in contention. Top 3 out of it on day 1.

Hopefully a close finish. Pulling for either Rickie or Brian Harman (I like lefties). That amateur Cameron Champ is pretty exciting to watch. Guys built pretty slim but he was hitting the absolute piss out of the ball.

 

Well no one is running away with it that's for sure. Although I'm sure the USGA and Mike Davis's pride in having tough courses for the US Open might have taken a hit. This is putting 2011 to shame. Plus aside from Fowler, there isn't a marquee player in the top 10 so not sure what the public interest or the ratings will be for the final round.

Should be a good final round though, it's pretty much wide open for a lot of guys to have a shot at winning. After what he did today, hope Justin Thomas wins.

Lastly, they've improved but still rough watching golf on Fox.

 

I say to myself thankfully they don't and will never have the rights to broadcast the Masters.

 

Phil and Bones are mutually parting ways. He's been on his bag pretty much his entire professional career. It's not often you actually know what a players caddie name is.
