Sad but understandable. Logistics would been a nightmare plus at best the crowds would been 20% with most likely it being played with no fans. It's been rumored for weeks now that it was going to be pushed out but needed to be workout with the President's Cup since that is now pushed back to 2022. Ironcially this makes everything go back to the old calendar with the Ryder Cup being in odd years and the President's Cup in even years.
If there's one golf event where the gallery actually matters, it's the Ryder Cup (well I guess the Phoenix Open too probably).
Tiger Woods is reportedly making his first Tour appearance since the Pandemic started at the Memorial.
With no fans now too. Governor thankfully nixed it. On a side note, the PGA only has seven more weeks left before their season technically ends so it looks like *fingers crossed* they should finish it without interruption again
Justin Thomas #1 again in the world as Jon Rahm slides back to #2. Should be a really good battle between them and a few others to see who winds up #1 at the year's end.
I don't care who wins this week as long as Bryson DeChambeau misses the cut. Actually I hope he's in contention on Sunday playing with Koepka who tells him to speed up his play and he trips in a bunker after yelling at a cameraman and has to drop out. That'd be karma. On the plus side, looking forward to primetime golf on the east coast this weekend.
Collin's shot and clutch eagle putt on 16 were incredible.. Brooks sure talked a big game.. But honestly just happy Karen Deshambeau didn't win.
Happy to see a Morikawa win. Almost drop the trophy too. More happy DeChambeau didn't win. DJ probably has to be the most frustrated tonight, especially after how he played yesterday (not that -2 is bad today).
@B99 - have you picked up PGA 2K21? Thinking I might get it, if you (or anyone) ever want to get in a round on PS4.
No, been thinking about it. Let me know if it's any good, The EA PGA games are usually hit or miss in my opinion..
Is this the beginning of Phil absolutely feasting on the Champions Tour? Bernhard Langer might finally have some competition. There's always as few guys as soon as they turn 50 just start going on huge winning streaks there. I fully expect Phil to still play a full PGA schedule but his future is clearly going to be split between the Champions tour and based off his audition, the CBS booth.
Phil on the senior tour seems not fair IMHO LOL! Poor guys are going to just roast the first two days out at Olympia Fields. It is just desperately hot here (Chicagoland area) right now. Supposed to be gorgeous this weekend though and the course by all accounts is in incredible shape which is amazing since it's been so dry here the past several weeks.
Unreal putts made for DJ and Rahm, especially Rahm's to win. I wonder what DJ can actually finish next week and still win the FedEx. As long as Rahm doesn't win, probably somewhere around 5 thru 9.
The play on the PGA tour since it's return as been nothing short of speculator. Normally I barely watch The Tour Championship even with them wisely moving it up to it no longer goes head to head with the NFL. Now? Cannot wait!
